It was pretty unremarkable. Seriously. Several factors to consider are 1) I'm older 2) I have a "career" (Note sarcastic quotation marks) 3) I am working in a new club in a new city.
I definitely need some time to get my groove back. When I was younger, and dancing full-time, I was err...wild. Yeah, Ill say wild and let you use your imagination from there, lol. However, I am only 24 and definitely could jump right in without looking too suspicious.
1) I definitely am not as limber or energetic as I was...I used to be a pole climbing acrobat, and of course, I get on stage like "YEAH BABY I STILL GOT IT" Honey, I do not got nothing but a pulled quad from trying to lift my fat ass up the pole.
2) It was hard for me to get motivated as I do have pretty good vanilla job right now. FTR, I do not *need* to dance (except maybe for the exercise), I just finished a grueling 13 months of beauty school and I felt like busting out and doing something crazy...as in staying up past 11 pm again. LOL
3) I liked the club. Girls were friendly enough. I did not make hardly any money, and the manager who hired me found me at one point in the evening and said "I know this is your first night, and I don't want you to get scared off. I think this football game is killing our business." I know for a fact that my errr... comeback? wasn't really helping my situation. But hey, I'm getting back in the groove here!
I was gonna post a follow-up when I worked a little more and felt a little groovier, but you asked so I said WTH and shared
