Default Is this okay for an audition?

Okay, I know I posted an audition outfit thread awhile ago, but I couldn't muster up the courage to actually go for it. Well, now, I have made up my mind that I am going to do it!

Sadly, I don't have the funds to get a stripper outfit right away. What I do have though, is my favorite lingerie set that I feel sexiest in. Would this be okay? I just don't want to look like a fool. And obviously, I have short hair, so I would be wearing my extensions.

In addition, I gained about 15-20 lbs this year, and feeling a little insecure. Is my body okay for now, or should I consider losing weight before actually auditioning? Thing is, I am jobless and need money ASAP.

Would it be okay to go in and audition this afternoon (Saturday), before the club gets busy, since I'll be in the area anyway? I'm auditioning in Phoenix. I'd like to work at Christie's (Phoenix or Tempe), but I don't have a gown to audition in. So for now, I'm thinking of applying at Bourbon Street Circus. Maybe Skin...Name: photo.jpg

I think it's cute (for dancing, you'd need to wear something in over it, I'm sure you know that). There's a thread I'll try to find, about what to wear TO an audition, & WHILE you're onstage auditioning.
I think your bod looks fine, when you start dancing you'll tone up more too. Put some self tanner on, to make you look somewhat thinner..but I think you're ok, not sure how picky some of those clubs are.

Edit: Check out Club Chat section, there's info on clubs there, some of the ones you're asking about.

    Yes, the outfit is fine.

Christie's went down a peg and isn't requiring gowns anymore. However, don't waste your time at the Phoenix location, there's zero money there and the management turns over every month... I just quit 2 weeks ago. Tempe is ok from what I hear though.
Bourbon is a good club. I can't see any tats in the pic but if you have any large ones, that may be an issue - they like un-tatted girls.
Skin should take you as long as they don't have too many girls already.

You can't audition today though because both Scottsdale and Phoenix require a license. I know for a fact that CCP and Skin are requiring them to even audition, and I have heard that most other Phoenix clubs do as well. Of course the office for it is only open M-F.

However, what you can do if you want, is go in and chat with the manager at Skin, they will at least tell you if you'll be hired or not - the Scottsdale license is pricey ($125 and is only valid for the 2 clubs in the area), so you don't wanna blow that money. You can try the same at the other clubs if need be, but the Phoenix license is much cheaper ($22) and valid at like, 15 clubs.

Thank you, this was a great help, especially since you're in AZ too, and able to offer insight about the specific clubs. I knew I had to get a license, I was just hoping I can audition first, before spending the money. Argh that's frustrating. It's a shame that there's no money in the phx Christie's, but the Tempe one is closer, anyway. Skin isn't too far, either and is my 2nd choice club.

I don't have any tattoos-- just piercings. I have dermals on my hips and lower back. Will this be a problem at Bourbon street?

And the question every newbie asks-- having a license will not affect any chance at a professional job, correct? I am planning on going to law school in a year, and I want to make sure that it won't affect me negatively in any way. I did a search on this, but the focus seemed to mainly be toward the medical and educational field.

I'm not sure about the piercings. I just know that their app has a question about tattoos and "Do you plan to get more?" They don't like "alternative" girls, it's full of mostly Barbie types.

I wouldn't guess that it would. AZ licenses are under lockdown - it takes a court order to open that file up - I've interrogated 3 different clerks on this. So unless you are applying to work for the FBI, it's not going to be an issue. I worked for the state government and had no issues with the background check, and I know there is a girl on here who is now a CPA... that's the closest to lawyer I know of on SW.

I have no idea what kind of questions they ask on your license application though, I only know about the medical field. If they have some crazy question about "immoral conduct", that could be the tough one. The sticky spot there is that if you lie, then it will be construed as dishonesty in general (and it wouldn't matter if you lied about being a stripper or about your school records or anything else at all, dishonesty is dishonesty). I'd check into the licensing applications and Bar exam and all that to see what they're gonna ask you.
