I hear you on the scheduling thing, i hate it as well. Thats one thing i like about living in arizona, most of the clubs i have gone to are open schedule. You should definitely comment again and let everyone know how you do in lexington. If its good i might have to check it out once i visit the east coast again. Sorry trixies was a no go for you but i wish you lots of luck in lexington.

I haven't made it out of town to Lexington yet. I was still hoping to get in someplace closer to home. I didn't have much luck, but I thought I could pass this info along. I went in to apply at 2 local clubs against my better judgement. I figured I can't judge if I don't at least go in.

First one was Thoroughbred Lounge. I went about 6pm, and I understand it was early, but no one was dancing. There were only two dancers and the bartender, all three pretty rough. The bartender had a pretty intense case of meth mouth. She was nice though and told me that I could work days (maybe someplace else I'd take days, but not in this place). I asked her about nights and she said I could go on nights if I "Do good on days". Um, I need customers to make that happen and with "Endless Love" playing and no dancer on stage even, I mean, the lights on the stage were not even turned on, I just didn't see the potential.

I filled out the application and talked more to the bartender about drinks and dances. (I hate drink hustle and I do not drink alcohol so that is always a downer for me.)
No tipping allowed at the stage, no tops off, not even pasties. She told me that ABC came in during this past Derby and told them all to put their clothes back on.
She told me the dance prices ( don't remember them all honestly) and then told me that as long as she gets a big enough tip, she doesn't care what happens in VIP.
That was my clue that I probably didn't need to be there. So I didn't show up for my shift the next day.
They don't have a schedule but I was told that if you don't work 3 eight hour shifts a week you go on the "Shit list" whatever the hell that means.

The next place I tried was Wild Horse Saloon. At around 7pm. No dancer on stage. I was asked where I'd worked before and I told them Lollipops Daytona Beach, (awesome place and very travel friendly, tattoo and Alt girl friendly, made money every night, just an FIY to traveling ladies )
    Then I was given the:
"Have you ever worked around HERE?"
It felt totally shady, and they were also clearly hurting for day shift girls as there were no dancers to be seen. I was offered another day shift. I respectfully declined.

I think Louisville may not be worth it any longer, seriously. But since it's where I live I thought I'd check out a few more places before traveling an hour. Even though I didn't get hired at PTs, I did read on TUSCL recently that tipping isn't allowed at the stage any longer there either.
I would say don't bother any longer with this city unless you are willing to do a bit more for your money. I'm not. As soon as I'm settled in from moving into my new apartment, I guess it's out of town for me after all.
I was trying to avoid it, but...C'est la vie!

Let us know when you travel to Lexington. I plan on making a trip up there next week. I called spearmint rhino and the manager sounded super nice over the phone. I'm from Nashville

I worked at Camelot east for one night while traveling thru KY. It was THE most ghetto club I'd ever worked in , they were upset when i left early & told them I wasn't returning. The clientele made up of mostly ghetto & cheapskates.

I remember reading your review of that place sometime back on here. I have not considered it as an option since. So, thank you so much for that.
The club reviews can be so helpful. Seems like a lot of clubs don't have anything very recent or some none at all.

yeah, Camelot East changed management July 2014 and it has went down hill from there. One thing I have to say for traveling dancers is do NOT go to Camelot West, if you think East is bad then West is 10x worst. I also would NOT step foot in Paradise City.. It has a reputation of a heavy contact and extras club. I'm currently at Divas now.. It's a really laid back environment, a dive bar with decent dance prices that are pretty easy to hustle. I make good money there and the staff is really nice. Platinum Plus is now Platinum Dolls but I'm not really a fan of how they run things and I havent worked there in 2 and a half years, soo I dont know much about the money there but i do know they wont really higher black girls unless "they look white".. bottom line is they are pretty racist towards customers and girls over there so that's another reason I dont like to associate myself there. Spearmint Rhino is alright but only during the right season.. They just raised their dance prices insanely so it's a little tougher to sell. The dayshift from what I can remember over there is pretty profitable. I always did well on dayshift. The only thing that stops me from working over there is that you have to sign a paper every shift saying you made over $100 even if you didnt make anywhere near that and you are a "shareholder" of the company, so your social security number and all your information is in their system saying you own a share of the company and they will send you little checks after you pay your fee of the shareholder thing which is $100... It's a bunch of bull if you ask me.. I love Cowboys but the schedule is the only thing holding me back and then we have Deja Vu.. mostly young guys and extremely packed on the weekends but It's not really my scene.
