    Default Blonde Dreadlock Wig

I guess you want what you don't have.

I'm thinking of blonde dreadlocks, but I don't have the natural haircolor nor length to pull it off... do you think if I buy an expensive wig ($300-500 dollars) full lace blode wig. Dread it in my preference, it'll still look good. I'm thinking of leaving the top natural (to make people think it's my natural hair versus a dread wig)

    this look, kind of

You'd probably have to get two wigs in order for it to be thick enough not not to strain the hair and show the wig cap underneath. I'm not sure how you'd go about this....clip ins might be better--figuring out how to dread a clip in pony-tail and then wrapping your hair around that. hmmm..

You can make dread falls. I used to when I was an idiot in high school. They looked real. Instead of doing the wig thing you can find your root color and put blonde at the bottom. Less hassle. You use VERY cheap yaki hair when you do this. It is about two dollars a pack.

Have you considered adding some blonde highlights to your natural hair and attaching a dreadlock hairpiece?

I'm sure you can find blended colors to match seamlessly with your real hair. I'm thinking something with ombre dreads would work... darker up top, blonde at the bottom.

I was a lucky gal. I had a clip on dread-fall hair piece with brown, blonde, pink, and fuchsia dreads... the brown and blonde matched my hair so well that a lot of people thought they were real... just up in a pony tail. I had a lot of fun with that hair piece.

I think the trick is to get a piece that has enough volume to stand alone on your head and give your crown some serious volume. The two-pony-tails look can be a little silly.

The other trick is to throw some of your own hair (once it is in the pony tail) forward and twist it into dreads with gel so things blend even better.

Thinner dreads look prettier and neater. A swoop bang softens the look.

It really depends on the product you choose. But dollar for dollar, a dread fall is a better option than a 150% density human hair lace wig made with afro-curl textured hair... A wig which then needs to be dreaded up. Time investment to the max... especially if one doesn't have much experience dreading hair. There is a risk of ripping the lace... that would suck. Depending on the wig purchased, one would need to trim the lace, buy a wig cap (in a flesh tone so that your head looks as scalp-like as possible), and apply tape or adhesives to keep the dense, somewhat heavy wig secure during dances (or really any sort of activity).

A dread fall or falls can look okay... http://www.squeakmachine.com/hair/im...adfalls/15.jpg

You can attach (loose) single loop dreads in the front to smooth the look over... Note the loop near her scalp at the front.

There is always this option... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Long-DREADS-...-/130972091795 but I can't vouch for its aesthetic quality on a person... it still beats dreading a wig on your own, in my humble opinion, of course.

a wig is def a smarter option than doing it to your real hair IMO I buy human hair wigs in a light blonde shade & dye them all sorts of different colors as a hobby. It's alot of fun & can be less of a wallet flush than screwing up your own hair

i have a blonde dreadlock wig that i used to wear sometimes. i would have to pin it in very securely and i couldn't really dance upside down or hair flip, but it was fun to change it up. i've been thinking of selling it however since i am no longer blonde underneath, and sometimes wispies get out when wearing a heavier wig.

i can't wait for my dreads to be as long as that wig <3<3, probably a few more years, they def take TONS of patience you're hair will appear to grow faster dreaded because the hair doesn't fall out and go away it stays in the dreads, that's a length i'd probably have after 5 years, I started at 3", they're two years now and are about a foot

and you can dye dreads just like you'd dye real hair, i don't recommend bleach though (a couple times is alright over a span of a year or so) because bleache fried dreads are not fun, I use the lightest blonde dye you can buy at the store that doesn't have bleach in it
