Default E-mail platforms that don't require phone number???

Most of my E-mail accounts are old, and I haven't made a new one in forever. I want a new E-mail address to use exclusively in the club, but I can't find a carrier that's anonymous - they all ask for my phone number during registration. Are there any that don't?

Do Hotmail an Yahoo? What about getting a disposable cell phone and using that number?

Yeah! Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc. The only ones I've found so far that don't are the ones you pay for. But then of course, they're asking for CC information, so not exactly anonymous...

A go-phone is my last resort, but it seems a hassle for an E-mail address. I tried just making up a phone number but they actually send out a text confirmation (which seems silly to me, as not everyone has a texting plan). Internet anonymity has ceased to exist!

Here's a free email service that doesn't require a phone number:

That is bizarre. I don't remember providing a phone number for my Hotmail accounts, and I have text messages blocked.

Just because there is a place to put in your phone number does not mean they require one. I'm pretty sure it's not mandatory.

Now that I'm looking at Hotmail again, I guess it isn't mandatory. I probably saw the phone number box and got discouraged because I had already tried Yahoo and Gmail to no avail. Gmail let me slide past the initial registration, then wanted my phone number to prove I wasn't a robot, even though they also gave me a security code to type in. I think maybe it was because I had just logged out of my other Gmail account, because I googled it and most information I found said it only happens sometimes, which seemed unusual to me.

Oh well, I got a gmx account, so I will just use that. Thanks guys!
