Dizzy Newbie on - need some help please!

    Hi all!
I just signed up on a specific agency that broadcasts on LiveCam.com, which seems to be on a streamate platform......not sure why there are so many channels to go through here, but that seems to be the set up. I have read the tutorials, advice, watched videos - etc. I hear the same things over and over, and it's all great advice, but I know now that I need to smile, have fun, be myself, don't show anything for free, follow the rules, keep my privacy, talk don't type, etc......what I don't know how to do is use this stinking software! Or what certain things MEAN, or how to do them.....I'm feeling lost and really needed some live people to answer me. So! Here are my questions:

I log into my broadcasting account....that puts me in free chat, right? Well how do I make a "party" or a "gold" show? I know that my rate of pay is "X" amount for this or that - but how do I DO those things? For instance, my payrate for premium chat and exclusive chat.....exclusive is a private chat I think, and that is clear. I am one on one with a paying customer and perform for that customer. How do I do "premium" chat? Is that the same as a "party," or something altogether different? I get the idea on livecam and streamate that you can offer to do certain things for gold, or tips - even within free chat. Is that advisable? Am I flashing for tips in free chat or something? How do I set up a party/gold show from my broadcasting dashboard?

So I guess basically I am lost as to how to best utilize the site I am broadcasting on and how to work the system, so I could just use an all around tutorial on the technical stuff - specifically for my sites if possible. Thank you for any enlightenment you can give me!I am really excited about getting started, just totally confused! lol

If you haven't broadcast yet, then DON'T. If you do you won't be able to get away from this studio contract which is going to be paying you a smaller % then if you were with Streamate directly!

    AVOID STUDIOS

Great! Ok, so exploring here I am seeing that I am on a bad one too.... Internet Modeling? I searched for reviews and I thought it looked legit, but I guess that was because they wanted it to look that way. How do I get out? If I sign up for SM directly with another stagename/email address, etc - can I get out that way?

^Just to echo what Vlodina said.

Free chat = When you first click broadcast, non-paying members are in your free chat. They can see you and interact with you, but they are not paying you yet. On Streamate there are two types of free chat:
    - Classic chat: members can type with you, but cannot see what other members have written, nor can they see how many members are in your room
    - Party chat: members can type at you, can see what other members have written, and can see how many users are in your room

You cannot accept gold shows until you get an email from SM that you have met the requirements needed for them to offer you gold shows, including ratings and technical requirements. So don't even worry about that right now.

To switch between classic and party chat, there is a drop down option for chat type at the top of your screen. It doesn't really make a difference which one you choose to broadcast in (unless you plan on running Gold shows, you MUST be in party chat to enable gold shows but since you haven't been offered that feature yet, again, don't worry about it).

There are two options when it comes to paid chat:
-Premium, where more than one person can pay at a time: When a member takes you premium his user name will jump from being listed under the regular free chat tab to being listed under the premium chat tab right above it. This is how you know you are in free chat. You do not "do" anything to initiate premium chat, only members can initiate premium chat. When the last member in premium chat leaves you will be given a 30 second timer to get dressed before your cam is broadcast in free chat again.
-Exclusive chat, where you are 1:1: You will get a pop up box saying which user is requesting an exclusive chat. You have to click to accept or deny the request.

You can also make extra tips by asking for GOLD in free chat. You will hear a chime and in highlighted text it will say that (user) just sent you $(x) GOLD. Guys try to trick girls by typing in "My name just sent you $500 GOLD." Don't fall for that. Legitimate tips always come with a sound alert and are highlighted. Also, if you are unsure if a tip is real or not you can check your earnings report (at the top of the page). Earnings are updated in real time so if you get a legit tip you will see it reflected in your account immediately. You are NOT allowed to show below the belt nudity in free chat on Streamate but you can offer to flash your breasts, show your toys, feet, ass (in panties), etc. for tips in free chat. Or, you can decide you will ONLY do your things in paid chat. Totally your call.

Not to be rude but are you sure camming is right for you? The questions you asked are REALLY, really basic. If you are having this hard of a time figuring out how to navigate the site (and IMO Sm is one of the easiest to navigate), perhaps you should sign up to a site that isn't as overwhelming? At the very least you should be viewing more cams of girls in free chat to familiarize yourself with things. You don't have to be a tech genius (Lord knows I am not!) but if you are uncertain of how to even do shows on the site perhaps you are not ready for SM yet?

This is a perfect example of what assholes studios are. They are robbing you of a huge percentage of your pay yet they didn't even train you.

If I were in your position I would not broadcast through them and do everything in my power to get released, and if all else fails, sign up for every other cam site you can find, being sure it's not a studio. Work the other sites and stay away from the IM studio for an entire year, then sign up independently.

Streamate has a lot of traffic, but you can still make a living elsewhere too, and it's not even worth working there if you are giving up that big of a chunk of money to those assholes.

I agree completely. I wish I had realized what I was getting into. I had signed up at flirt4free too, and since that directed me to VS broadcasting, I assumed that each site had an agency or something, and that livecam just happened to use IM. I didn't know IM was actually just making their own facade for streamate! Kicking myself now for not taking my time.

I am already working on getting away from IM......I am going to try to get on streamate directly, but if I can't - where do you recommend? I am on Flirt4Free....but I am also now looking into other sites which are mentioned here on this forum. Would love input regarding traffic, features, etc that make certain sites stand out from others.

I would give you my personal opinions and experiences, but since I already typed out a LONG ass message answering all of your questions IN DETAIL and didn't even get acknowledgment or thank you? I think I'll stay out of this thread. There's a ton of info already on this forum. The search function is a mighty handy tool.

I'm sorry. I had typed out a semi angry response to your earlier reply...I appreciated the very in-depth reply you had given me, but your closing remarks were, I felt, uncalled for. But I do appreciate your time for what it's worth.

Most of the time when a new girl pops in and asks newb questions we link bomb the shit out of it...because typing out a novel with a million answers that have already been answered a million times cuts into work and personal time.Courtney,Laurie,Vlodina and myself answered everything for you because obviously you got screwed into signing up on sites through a studio, which could of been avoided if you goggled or read through this site more.I can tell you that f4f is a hard site too make money on and you are only going to get paid at 26.6%+, much less in your case because you are a studio girl. Your last sentence is very telling...so I will leave it at that.I don't expect a thank you because obviously our time is worthless and we are here too serve newb girls and freeloaders...for what its worth.

Wow. Who knew that by choosing to wait and answer Courtney Raine when I was NOT upset would end up spiraling into this? I am sorry, it is very easy to be misunderstood. But I thank you all for your time and effort, am sorry for the repeated offense and assure you that I will waste no more of your valuable time. Good luck and take care!
