I'm not brave enough to cam in public. I would worry that someone will walk over to me and be like "Hey, *myrealname*, what are you doing?" *facepalm* I don't need everyone in my business. There are a lot of people with "regular jobs" who would be quick to hate on us cam girls, and bitch about how we "have no respect for ourselves." I don't need a bunch of stuck-up, judgemental people running their mouths if I can avoid it. People talk too damn much...especially females.
Also, you gotta be careful about what's visible on cam. You wouldn't want to accidentally show your viewers your doormat which has your last name on it...or something that shows the name of the street you live on, etc.
I've done a Clips4Sale clip outside, but that's different because even if a neighbor walks over and says "Hey, *myrealname*, you're out here blowing bubbles, huh?" I could always just edit that part out of the clip. If something like that were to happen live on cam with viewers in my public chat, that would suck ass.....
