Default Soda Stream / The Solution !

So awhile back I received a Soda Stream as a Xmas gift. At first I thought, Wow, what a great gift this
is. I really enjoyed making my favorite sodas whenever I wanted. But then I soon realized what a Complete
scam it was, the company "Soda Stream" is very much like a drug dealer. The scam is how much they
rape the consumer on the Co2 refills, you need to constantly get refills, & they are simply a pure rip off.
The refill charge/exchange price is about $30 dollars for one tiny tank (14.5 oz) vs about $27 dollars for 20 lbs
    of Co2. That's about 22 times More Co2 for 10% Less money !

    The solution:
    1) A separate 20 lbs large Co2 tank (Restaurant size).
    http://www.bvrgelements.com/product/...FZOe4AodWE8AmQ
    2) A 3' to 4' foot adapter hose.
    http://co2doctor.com/usandcanada.htm
    3) And 20 lbs of Co2 GAS from your local supplier.

Unfortunately the cost of a 20 lbs Co2 tank runs between $125 to $140 shipped. And that needed adapter hose costs
about $80 to $120. Finally a fill up of your new large Co2 tank, about $27 dollars for 20 lbs of Co2.

So your total cost is about $250 ish. But keep in mind that when you refill those tiny Soda Stream tanks about 8 times
you've broke even. I've had mine up & running for almost 5 months now with Heavy usage, my Co2 tank is still going
strong & has not run out of its first fill.

If you like / love soda, this is the way to go !

I've been using a combo of Pellegrino water and fresh juice to make healthy sodas. It's pretty cheap and tasty too.

you can also 'double duty' your CO2 tank and regulator investment by also using it for 1/2 kegs of beer. With a constant CO2 supply and refrigeration, a tapped keg will last for months. With 'decent' beers being very hard to find down here way south of the border, special ordering a 1/2 keg of Guinness or Paulaner or Firestone-Walker is the only affordable way for my friends and I to avoid having to drink 'burro piss' on those hot sunny days !!!

A CO2 shot also works wonders on 'homemade' Sangria and 'homemade' hard lemonade !!!

PS you can get CO2 equipment / refills at lower prices from local welding supply houses !

Thank god I don't drink soda. Only water and very expensive tea from teavana now owned by strbucks. they're like drug dealers too considering I only drink 1 cup a day and spend about 60 a month on it.
