I just want to do more and find new ways to earn through video, panty sales etc. .... I just feel like im tapping out at my earning potential and want to find new ways to make money......

I don't claim to be an expert on clips or vids (tbh I know nothing about them) but IME guys only care about quality to a certain point. If the image is clear they just want to see pussy (or whatever's in the vid.) I'd experiment with doing it yourself or having a sex partner or female friend (male non-sex partners are apt to get weird) film you before sinking hundreds of dollars into a videographer. At least that's what they cost for weddings, IDK about porn. It seems very possible that you'd end up losing money. Hell, I'd contact a porn company before hiring someone myself. Then you wouldn't have to worry about the camera guy, distribution, etc and you'd be guaranteed at least some profit.

I think it would be hard to find someone who is 100% professional and willing to do adult photos/videos who isn't part of a porno company. I feel it would be best for you to invest in a good HD camera and a tripod.

Now on the other hand finding a pro-photographer willing to do tasteful glamour nudes or a videographer willing to do a very tame sexy video (think TV rating) is easier to find. I have a little experience with this. I posted an ad on craigslist about me being a model wanting to take some glamour nudes. I got many replies a lot of them were willing to do it for free because they wanted to add to their portfolio or wanted a trade type situation where I got my photos for free and they got the other model they needed for a project for free. Make sure you check out their portfolio or past works of course to see if their legit and if you like their style every artist has different techniques.

In addition to craigslist, you can try onemodelplace and modelmayhem. Screen people from all 3 sites though!

That's going to cut unreasonably into your profit (if there even is any after paying an expensive videographer - the ones I know of are pretty pricey).

I agree with the above poster. You can get amazing HD video from a quality webcam. Hiring someone to film and paying all that money is overkill and unneccessary.

^ For basic video editing I just use Windows Movie Maker (it doesn't do anything fancy but if you just want to trim clips, add music, credits, etc it works fine and comes with Windows) and for graphic editing I use Paint Shop Pro 8, which is available via torrent and very easy to use (I started using PSP6 when I was like 5, lol.) I'm not sure if it's in stores anymore.

OP, I have the C920, but need to invest in the tripod. Experiment with angles and lighting. When I started (a couple of months ago) I would film and once I got to editing, I would find out the lighting was shit or I'd be half out of the shot. So record the position you want for a minute and check it for quality. If it's right, go on recording, or adjust if you need to. It's a bit time consuming, but well worth it since you won't be wasting your time on something you can't use. The more you do it, the quicker it'll be because you will learn where the lights and camera will be. I'm also in the Windows Movie Maker club. It's very basic, but you can watermark and that's all I really care about right now.

www.avs4you.com has a nice program for filming videos with your webcam, plus editing & converting files for like $50 for 2 years. I love it.

Now, for hiring a professional. Most wedding photographers & such do NOT know how to light or film porn. Nor are they going to be wiling to lose their business if their customers found out they had filmed porn. You can't ask them to risk their careers.

Craigslist, modelmayhem & such, BEWARE most of those just will want in your pants & don't have a clue about quality or how to shoot porn. How free is it if they are a total creep & now know you. You need to vet whomever you work with in these situations. Girls have been drugged & raped in these situations.

If you are in LA there are plenty quality photographer/videographers that need work, but it will cost you about $500 a day. In Miami, you can get one for about $300. I would do a day rate & film all kinds of videos & take pics to sell to make it worth your time & effort.

Now, you do need to be realistic & figure out a way to make a profit before making an investment of any kind.

You can buy a decent video camera($300 t $700) yourself & talk a boyfriend or close girlfriend who is also a cam girl & do it all yourself. This way the learning curve is cheaper. You can learn by practicing doing yourself & not stopping to do it all in one scene so there is NO editing that needs to be done. Heck, these days you can film with your cellphone & take selfies & those will sell.

There are many tutorials on Youtube for editing & such.

    good Luck,
    Sam

This is something i am doing, but i live in Israel, so i guess it will be not relevant.

I don't agree with " That's going to cut unreasonably into your profit ".
A pro video, will sell so much better, believe me.
As adult sites owner , i can see the different.

I have access to pro photographers/videographers & yes it will Cut into your profits. Some guys think girls doing this have unlimited money & I've seen girls being charged $200 per set, a set being a few pics & ONE video. Now, if you film 3 to 5 sets that will get expensive fast. Rarely are you going to make over $200 for each individual video like on c4s.

Now, just to start on C4s you need 10 individual videos. STart up cost right there is $1000 before you even know what sells & what doesn't. You can literally spend thousands of dollars in production before turning a profit.
Not to mention it is just smart business to cut cost on production so the profits will be more.

Many professional shooters don't know how to shoot fetish content. So all the money you spend on them is a major risk. I am a bbw, there are many pros who shoot skinny girl content. They are not able to shoot a bbw in a way the bbw fans like. If the pro is not into bbw's he will make snide hurtful remarks & shoot it like crap. This is the same with any specific niche, just because they have shot porn in general will not mean they will know how to shoot your specific niche in a way that those particular fans will like.

The pro can be the biggest name & shot for major companies like playboy and such, does NOT mean crap when it comes to fetishes & niche specific content. \

I've put my camera in the hands of ex's who loved my big boobs, they did way better cause their love of big boobs showed through the lens. This is what you need & they were more than happy to do it for FREE! lol or a bj.

I have 13 years experience in porn in front of the camera as well as being a cam girl, adult site owner & producer of adult content that DOES sale.

My advice is to do it yourself so you will have more knowledge in what it takes to be a success. You will figure out what makes you money & what doesn't. Then and only then take some of that profit & hire a pro to see if it will improve your sales & be worth it.

There are books & online tutorials to learn the basics of lighting & how to shoot.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PW9r7u6lUFs

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHUBXDrtA5I

There are all kinds of way on the web to get the information for free & learn how to improve upon your product each & every day. Use your imagination rather than some experts knowledge & have fun.

$200 for each individual video - it's crasy.
I know some may charge it, but it sooo overpriced. This is not even an option.
And its very important to make a market research before. When i am shooting new niche, i try to know everything about it.
No need for super pro, just someone with a good camera and lighting.
    Webcam will not cut it.
I can honestly say it, as a content producer.
I tested it a few times.

Yet, you don't link any URLs to this work. EVgirl how do we know you are successful with this business model? I know many content providers in the porn industry that now out of work. Being a content provider is not a working business model in this industry anymore, just like being an affiliate has been decimated by the tube sites too.

Many girls on C4s shoot it all themselves & make money.

I Have worked with pros from LA & Miami. You do not post the area in which you work evgirl or what you are paying a pro for those shoots.

Other than telling a girl to use a pro I don't see where are you adding any REAL advice. Over the years I've met many who stated they were pros & they were all BS. I can back my bragging & work up. I can hire a pro for $300 to $500 a day rate, but I do that for my pay site, but c4s is a different story. Those guys are more about the fetish & the amateur feel to it all.

A problem I find in this business is that many will give advice, many do NOT want the models to be more independent & cut out the middle men, Many don't want us to know we can do it on our own without them. They will tell you to spend all kinds of money so that you will not turn a profit yourself & still just be a model letting them make all the residual money in many different VOD sites & dvd deals. So girls will work cheap in order to pay the rent, instead of making money on their own without the industry exploiting them.

I do NOT trust people who come onto boards & post advice who do NOT post links or what they have done to establish they do know what they are talking about.
I know & have worked with AVN award winning cameramen, their stuff was crap & didn't make me money as to where the stuff I did with my $200 web camera did.

EX: several years ago, I had a new male talent who needed practice. Paid him $200 to film stuff with my webcam for clips on Naked.com Over the past 4 years that $1000 of 5 scenes has made me a profit of $20,000. This was just an experiment, but I was willing to take the risk. Those videos still make me money till this day. Now, if I had been just hired & filmed to do those scenes which I am for many companies ALL over the web & dvds, those 5 scenes would have made me $5000. I will take a $19,000 profit for a $1000 investment over no investment & making just $5000.

Yes, YOU do need to invest into some lights. Yes, you do need to get a good video camera & web cam. Yes, invest in decorating your place a bit. Get an i7 computer & the fastest internet possible. Over all that is about a $2000 investment you can do a little at a time.

There does come a time to up your game, but not until you know what works best for you & have put the work into the basics. There is much cookie cutter porn out there, this isn't what guys want from individual performers. They can go onto any tube site & get it for free all day long. When you hire a pro they are soooo programmed to produce that cookie cutter stuff cause it worked for them in the past. Their lack of creativity & imagination will kill what fetish you are going after.
Many fetish girls team up & work together, this is a great way to learn & get content.

    Best Regards,
    Sam

    Hi OP,

I actually graduated from film school, and honestly for these things, I find it unnecessary for you to invest in videographers. The one thing that we have learnt in film school is to save save save on money. Unless you are trying to do a big production shoot, you really do not need a crew for the type of content that you're going for.

You can easily shoot on your webcam, or invest in a small point and shoot camera that records in HD. If you want to light it, I personally have this set of lights:

    http://www.amazon.com/CowboyStudio-P...ords=light+kit

They're not expensive, light well, and are easy to use. Just make sure that if you use a camera that is not your webcam, that it is set on the "daylight" mode and not "tungsten" (or else you'll get a really blueish picture). You don't need a professional editing software to do clips. lol I went to film school and learnt to edit on a professional editing platform, but I think it would be silly to use it to do my personal naughty videos lol.

The one thing that I will advise on in order to save time is to PLAN PLAN PLAN! I suggest that you shoot all of your content for the week at once, and then edit them all afterwards. When I do clips, I always plan to do 4-5 in one day. So plan your outfits, props, locations so that you have a game plan, that will save you on time. If you want to get a little more creative and change angles and such, you can do that too, but for the most part, the guys don't mind if it's one continuous shot. You don't need to do the whole "cut on action" or have symbolic camera angles. I mean you could... but I don't think that the guys will care as much.

Take it from someone who is going to work behind the camera one day, don't invest in videographers for this. Unless they have a good day rate, know how to shoot fetish clips, will shoot several in the same day, don't bother. You can learn these things on your own, get the same quality that they will provide, and keep all the money to yourself.

I hope that this has helped! Remember to plan!

If youre looking to save money - wanted to add that if you have a local cable access TV station near you they often offer public memberships - and in those memberships you get access to a ton of equipment (depending on how resourced the station is). Failing that, some film/communications departments of colleges allow public memberships and rentals of equipment... community colleges seem better about that. Depending it can include lights, state of the art equipment, cameras, computers, green screens, private filming rooms, etc etc. Some even have free classes on basic videography for members.

That way you can test a lot of equipment yourself for low annual/monthly or daily fees and then once you find certain equipment you prefer you can buy those or save up towards certain ones. Having access to tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff for $50-100 is pretty cool. Just be sure uh, have your own data / memory cards and external hard drives and clear them out each time.

you may want to read membership agreements carefully though depending on what you want to film.

Right, i am not posting any links, because it's not spam thread of my serves here Actually, i know i will not get any clients from this forum, because i locate in Israel.
It's a zero chance for me, so i just wanted to help and give my opinion.
I have nothing to hide, i can send you links to all my sites.

It's true that many content providers are out of the game, but we have an affiliate program with paysites, so i was not shooting to sell the content, but for our won sites.
By the way, we still get a lot of sells made by affiliates, and we still buy content from content providers, the things is not like it was few years ago. The industry in a different place now.
But, you can say the same for c4s, once there was more money in to selling clips than now.
All industry in a big downtime almost all people that i know, make less money than before.

" I can hire a pro for $300 to $500 a day rate, but I do that for my pay site, but c4s is a different story. Those guys are more about the fetish & the amateur feel to it all. "

well, what we do is c4s and paysite for each girl.
That right , c4s it's a totally different, fetish oriented content, but...they still wanna see good camera, and not crappy webcam.
I am not saying she will not sell with cheap webcam, i just saying, that with a great camera and great lighting, she will do much much more sells.
    It's just convert better.
When i buy content from girls, i always pay more to those who have a good quality camera, because it will sells better.
