    Default Does Size Truly Matter?

I have been working on my fitness and I believe that I am almost ready, but I want to know about what size is the best range to be in for being a stripper? I have a few friends, but they all work in super high scale clubs and are all size 2 to 4 with fake boobs. That is the norm at their club. I am at a size ten with natural, but still pretty perky DDs, so I don't feel "toned" enough more than anything, but I do have a good hour glass shape. Do guys actually want to pay for a dance from a girl my size or do I need to get down to at least an 8? I know that I am pretty enough in the face(I'm exotic looking. People often think that I am half Asian or Native American(which I am partly) and I work in customer service and get hit on often, but it's not the same as being in a club. I just don't want to waste my time and money as the nearest club is about an hour away. I want to be sure that I'm where I need to be first. My city choices are either Mobile or New Orleans. Do you guys know of a decent club where a thicker chick could make decent money right now? Am I just over analyzing? lol, Any info will be appreciated.

Anybody can be a stripper. But not everyone will succeed at it. Looks have a small part of it, but they are an integral part. Yes you may get hired at a club but odds are unless you carry your weight well it will be a dive.

Another stripperweb member has said there is a difference between "civilian" size and "stripper" size. I don't know how your weight is distributed but unless you are super tall size 10 is pushing it. Without pics it's hard to tell.

I was 5' tall and weighed 140 llbs after gaining weigt from my BA. When I went to try out with my friends at different locations it SUCKED being the "fat chick". If you are going for an urban club they might be more forgiving than an upscale white club. I make more money being toned at 115 llbs than I ever did when I was fat.

Take it from a former fat girl. It's just easier to lose weight and have more options available to you. So to answer your question, if you want to get into a quality club, then yes size does matter. I was a size 9 at my heaviest (not a 12, according some allegations from a few years ago, that's a whole 'nother thread) and am now a comfortable size 3. I eat Paleo 96% of the time. I work out 4-5 days a week at least 90 minutes to 2 hours whether I am hungry or tired. Do I miss pasta? absolutely. But I'd rather have a banging body on healthy nutritious food than a FUPA loading up on fast food.

You have to ask yourself what you want more. I personally prefer being healthy and making money. Yeah skinny is good, but I have seen "thinspo" be just as bad as "fat acceptance".

Like tempest said it really depends on your body type and how you carry your weight. Also that statement about civilian size and stripper size being different is definitely true. You probably look good in normal clothes but wearing an itty bitty stripper bikini might not look the same. If you don't want to change how you look then don't but it doesn't hurt to eat a healthy diet and get some exercise at least 3 days a week. If you already have an hourglass shape right now then I bet if you lose some weight and tone up you'll have some nice curves! Not all strippers are tiny with big fake boobs. It also depends which clubs you want to work at. Just give yourself a few weeks to eat super healthy and workout a lot & then go audition! It's worth a shot

whatever size you are , just make sure you are TONED! not lots of jiggle, loose skin, cellulite, flab.."skinny fat" is just as bad as fat fat lol. its normal to be worried about your size i think, i'm very self conscious because i feel like im too skinny, i would much rather have an hour glass!! so yeah, imo, its not the size, its how toned you are, the shape of your body/how you carry it. some girls will never be a size 2-4 and that's ok as long as you take care of your body and you are healthy and tight!

Lol I was going to mention the civilian fat vs stripper fat. Yes I make more money when I am thin. But as Tempest mentioned some clubs are more forgiving like urban clubs. But the case was when I have worked in clubs where if most of the girls were bigger than me,m any of the guys would go for me. They told me it was often because I was in shape.

If you want to lose a little weight I would suggest cutting out sugar. Its hard, but you get used to it after a little while. No sugar in my coffee and I substitute rice with quinoa.

I'm 5'3" and very proportioned. I "get fat all over". I'm going to stick with getting down to an 8 and then go from there. I have about a 28 inch waist when I'm an 8. I appreciate your POV because I am definitely looking forward to being healthier and making some good money.

Yeah...you're short like me. I'll be the first to admit I don't carry weight well. If you want to get hired @ super upscale (Rick's) for example size 8 won't cut it by a long shot. Being short means that weight gain or loss is more noticeable. I would try for minimum size 6 if I were you. Most clubs in NOLA that are on Bourbon are the only respectable ones.

I had a hard time getting hired in 09 before my BA but I weighed about 130.

It sucks but I'm not going to give you false hope and say you're fine as you are. I don't even think I'm fine as I am.

Oh yeah...when I was fat...being the token "fat" girl or "the biggest girl in the club" SUCKS. I made money but it was brutal. Do you really want to put yourself through that?

Without pics I can't tell you much other than 5'3 and size 10 for a stripper won't give you many options but a few shitholes off Bourbon. It isn't worth it to jeopardize your safety for patience.

Hit the gym, eat right, and everything will fall into place if you keep at it.

I'm size 4 (rarely I move into size 6) and 5'9. With DDDs. 1 year ago I was a solid 8 (with very little tone). I quit drinking and partying, I cut out sugar (Sweet Poisin Quit Plan) and then went Paleo (whilst still adhering to SPQP in terms of sugar and fructose. I started working out 3 times a week and continued to walk my dogs every day.

Besides the benefits I have seen financially, I have become happier and more confident in all of my life because I made a concious choice to live a healthy lifestyle which supports me to succeed.

    this is a great thread!
sooo many girls in the clubs will try to tell new girls that it doesn't matter at all if you're heavy or not, i've danced from a size 12/14 and got down too a 3 and I made MASS better money at the three than i ever did as the 12/14 also, guys were always either like, "aren't you too big to be doing this" vs "OOOOOHH you are so TINY!!" (I'm only 5'2") and even though you may be perfectly "thin" in real life compared to 90% of other women they'll just see "fat" when you're a stripper, I started seeing the most significant change in the customers attitudes towards me when i hit the 5/6 mark I think

though I'm about to go back and I'm a 9/10 again and I've just been stuck here, I'm hoping getting the physical activity in the club again will jump start my metabolism, I'll just have to grit my teeth against the fat comments and use them to motivate me to eat lighter, more nutrient rich foods, (and being able to afford stuff that isn't 1$ packaged/processed stuff will help too)

I mentioned this in another thread but when I started dancing I was a six and many clubs said I was too fat. I slimmed down to a size 4 and yes even then some clubs said I was too large. There is definitely a difference between size in the clubs and in real life. In real life being a size 6 I was always one of the slimmest women, even when I have been a 10 (my largest size ever when not dancing)that wasn't large. In the clubs only dives would hire me at a 10 I'm sure since I definitely struggled when I was an eight and a six. At one point I gained weight while dancing and got up to 8 and the money got worse and I was asked to lose weight. If I hadn't been there for awhile with regulars I'm sure they would have put me on afternoons or on leave until I lost weight. I'm 5'7 btw so I'm a bit taller than average but even so size 10 would still make me too large in the clubs.

Okay, here are a few pics and yeah, I know that I need to lose a bit. I am shooting for 20 lbs lower from the point that I'm at now. I am PMSn super hard right now so I'm jigglier than normal. I definitely won't be working near my period because I gain a lot of water wait no matter my salt intake. I do eat really healthy, mostly pureed fruits and veggies and then grilled meat twice a day as well. I just need to get my ass back in the gym. Also, I wear glasses so I was curious about how much that affects things. I get a lot of "sexy librarian" comments, but who knows with men?

I could see them on my phone but not on my laptop. The body one didn't work but you do have a very pretty face.

Very pretty face. You're a lot smaller than some of the girls in my club (including me), but your tummy looks the same as mine when I started dancing. I've had 2 kids since then so my hips aren't going to shrink. It can be wrangled in with some slight diet changes and some exercise. Just dancing may make it go away!

Are you sure that you're a 10? I was expecting a little rolly polly with more rolls than a pastry truck. You look like me before I lost weight and I was a 7. There is definite potential. You want to maximize it? Go for broke and lose as much as you can the right way. There is a toned pretty girl in there.

I've had two already and that's partly why it looks that way, lol. Speaking of which, does anyone know of any good moisturizers that "tighten" or give the skin a better appearance. I usually use cocoa butter.

you could make money now if you wanted I'm sure, just accentuate your best features (boobs, face) and try to disguise what you don't like, a nice black short dress with lots of boob cleavage will do wonders, and continue to aim on shaping up, once you get a guy in the dance room just get them to focus on your boobs, bum & face I've seen girls 9 1/2 months pregnant dance and a lot of guys wouldn't even notice she was pregnant (i'd be afraid my water would break on a guy though lmao, we were all waiting for it to happen)

I think you could work at a mid-tier club and do alright. Being thinner definitely does make a difference though. I also think your brows are a much better shape in the photo with glasses than in the final one.

You are pretty but need to tone your mid section. Everyone always says to do crunches, which I agree but you need to lose the extra flab first. The best way really is to do cardio such as walking or aerobics. Also drink water and cut down on your sugar intake. Soda is famous for causing more bloat. You're really not that large dancerwise and some mid level clubs will hire you.

A size 10 sounds a little "thick" for an upper-mid-tier club. A girl of that size would have better luck at an urban club.

Does size matter? In the strip club world, yes, unfortunately it does. And I'm not talking about boobs. Fake boobs can help, but there are plenty of small-chested girls who bank as well. They key is to having a body that's in very good shape. Your overall physique is more important than the size of your boobs.

    I agree about the eyebrows.

If you wear a short black dress as suggested, then I would wear black around midesection and lower -but use a bright colour/print which suits you from under the boobs up (kind of imagine a visual empire line). Also, do not get cutouts/slashes style dress when you have extra weight, in my opinion gives the effect of strung ham (its just a very unforgiving style). Look for a skimming over the curves effect NOT uber tight compress.

Wear dangling earings and draw attention to your face, dont wear shoes which draw attention to your feet. Clear stilettos work with all clothing styles and make your legs look longer. If not naturally tan then bronze up , it disguises and slims.
