Thanks for bringing this site to my attention, JAC! You always find the most nifty things. I do like that there seems to be *some* level of transparency on the apply page.
And I quote, "Camwhores is not going to replace your day job. You are paid for your participation and doing shows, but most you can expect to earn here is around US$250-650/month(+tips and referral bonuses)."
I already have way too much going on work wise to add another site to the list, but I'm curious to read about other girls' recent experiences. It might be a fun way to do some social network and make a little extra $ on the side at the same time?

This sounds interesting.
YES, that was the first thing I noticed. Well, the second thing. The first thing I noticed, of course, was the word "whores" right there in my face. And do I really want to be associated with a site that's going to call me a whore and then direct members to another cam site? But you know, it actually doesn't seem too bad once I got over that initial first impression.

That alone is reason enough for me to not wanna cam there. I know some cam girls are cool with being referred to as a 'cam whore', but I hate that phrase and won't allow anyone to call me that.Originally Posted by CourtneyRaine

I'd never heard of it before, but I like the "close-knit community" aspect... and being called a camwhore is a tiny bit cool if I do say so myself
the laid-back, fun, no-camscore thing is quite appealing lol
Actually I looked at this site a year ago and it seems like models really cam for free there for a while. After building up a following they'll make some money but personally I wouldn't want to invest time into that place unless I already had my nest egg of cash. Plus when you go to the site it has MFC link right smack dab in the center. Also the name ? Really? Nothing nicer than that?
^^^yes!!!!!!! I agree obviously! A whore is someone who performs sexual acts for money sooo yea...sounds like what I do! Words only have as much power as you give them & sticks and stones may break my bones but, well...you know the rest.

Never had someone calling me whore or cunt. I've only been called bitch :-))

Yeah, that's fine. And you really didn't need to defend yourself to me because I wasn't knocking you or anyone else who uses the term for themselves. I said I don't like it being used for me. Just clearing that up because I feel like you and a few other posters may have misinterpreted and took offense to what I said?Originally Posted by justanothercamgirl

Yup, which is why I remove people like that from my room after a quick "Bye, bitch!" wave.Originally Posted by justanothercamgirl

I am an online whore, that's a fact. Technically we all are if we are doing cam shows and you shouldn't be offended by the word.
I remember CW being talked about on here years ago. I didn't like the name either but I did look into the joining despite the name. I was going to apply but I was really hesitant about it. I ended up not applying because it just didn't seem worth it to me. Too much work for little pay.

Yeah, I'm aware of what the definition of the word is. And no offense, but I don't really think it's your place (or anyone else in this thread) to tell me what phrases should/shouldn't "offend." When y'all are venting in the Tags on Streamate thread about annoying tags members left on your profile, I don't criticize you over your annoyance. I'm entitled to express my opinions as you are entitled to yours, and we need to be respectful of that. And I'd like to be able to post on here without having my opinions belittled or criticized.

I'm also not ok with being called a whore, I don't mind the site being out there, but it's just my personal preference not to cam on such a place. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude, but I just don't like the association it makes from the very beginning. I wouldn't mind a customer calling me a little whore during a private show to show his excitement, but I would certainly mind if a freeloader called me a whore in free chat.
I couldn't resist, because I am in procrastination mode and would do anything to get out of running errands.
I think the word "whore" is something with such strong connotations. Whether you are the type who is offended by being called that, or you are the type who takes ownership of the word- a big thing to consider in this is what visitors of the site will think of you, because that expectation will determine how they interact with you. Marketing girls as, say for example, "online erotic performers" is likely going to attract a very different crowd of men than marketing girls as "amateur whores."
It's like if a guy wants to solicit sex for money. He's going to pay and interact with a "high end escort" very differently from how he would a "streetwalker." In the end he's getting the exact same service but you bet he's going to be willing to pay a ton more and act a hell of a lot nicer to someone he thinks of as high end, because it implies that the girl is worth a higher value than a common "whore."
Subconsciously, I don't think many guys are going to be willing to spend top dollar on a cam girl who he perceives as a whore. Then again, CamWhores does say that you're not going to make much on the site so maybe that's why? And I'm not saying it's a bad site, I have no experience with it whatsoever, but the more I think of it I'm not quite sure I want to be in a close knit community with guys who likely will not perceive my true worth.

I have been a model on CamWhores for years (since I started camming), but haven't logged on in months. They used to pay you about $100 per show, but over the years the guy couldn't afford to keep it running and pay out the girls so to keep it up the community decided they would run it differently. The people there are nice- there's a forum (girls only), although I haven't logged in there in months (mostly bc not much was happening there) but who knows, it could be different now? Mostly girls do shows now for tips, and you can upload a pic to put on their main page (if you want you can advertise yourself indie, but I have never gotten any indie customers from CW) hope I could help!

what the fuck this site. who cams for free and for fun and not for money? they only get 3,828 sitehits a day anyway. Looks like a big waste of time for people who actually cam for a job.

I have tired multiple times to register on their website, and no response at all, I tried even more to get an update of my account status on the site no answers. so I have pretty much given up on that site.
