    Duh Getting Hair Dye out of nails

    so I dyed my roots today, my nails were polished (clear) & the dye got underneath, kinda staining..I don't like to use gloves they get caught in my hair..any ideas to get this out w/o removing polish? Thanks!

    I would go to Sally's beauty supply to purchase 40volume developer and the smallest amount of lightener/bleach. Mix into a paste and leave on for a few minutes. Keep rinsing and applying until all color is removed. It may burn a little but 40v works best. Just buy whatever is the cheapest.

    You probably need to take the polish off. Good thing you had it there to protect your whole nail from being dyed. Peroxide soak may help. Wear gloves, silly!

    If the dye is under your nail polish, you're going to have to remove the nail polish to get the dye out. You might want to do it sooner rather than later, because I think the dye on your nails for an extended period of time would be more likely to stain your actual nail too. If the dye got under, the nail polish isn't fully sealed/adhered to your nails and probably needs to be redone anyways.
