I agree. I meet so many stupid people and it annoys me. I despise stupid people and come across more than I wish so I tend to enjoy spending time with a smart person: me.

this is why i laugh when people assume america is the best country in the world where all the people are well-educated, rich, and look like movie stars, and every other country is a 3rd world country compared to them. the only thing we have is the most people incarcerated. if only....well, cant talk politics here, dammit.and its not stupidity, like they have a lower IQ just by nature of their nationality, its not being educated..there's a big difference.

Yeah I would love to discuss the politics on this issue except to say that so much happening in this country is contributing to the lowering of the IQ. Things such as reality television, and the whole baby mama/baby daddy society means of course that it will only get worse. Idiocracy isn't just a movie it's a way of life for many Americans.
I may not have graduated from a high school, but that was my personal decision. My school couldn't place me in the appropriate classes so I would borrow my friend's books and teach myself. I got sick of it, quit, and took my GED test. I was done with school a whole year before the rest of my friends graduated. This is why I'm homeschooling my kids. I figure I can't do much worse than the Dept. of Education does. Plus I can emphasize arts, science, and history by taking them 'on field trips' to museums. Yes I know successful products of the public school system, but it's my home schooled friends that know multiple languages and travel the world at age 26.

No surprises here; dumb kids grow up to be dumb adults! Single parent households and two parents working isn't helping matters either.

Hands off parenting, no consequences, everyone gets a trophy, no one fails! Being special in the eyes of your parents doesn't translate well to adulthood. Challenge kids, teach them they can fail, but also reward them for success! Grade on a curve in the US? Great! no one fails even if the best person got only half right! Try that crap in Japan and the kids will all strive to be the one that breaks the curve, aces the tests, and leaves their classmates in the dust.

It's also arguably a list of countries that are able to achieve positive balance of trade ... mostly thanks to those countries having a wealth of natural resources available for export. Japan and Korea are exceptions, with their successful exports mostly due to the bundling of low cost Chinese components. This also partially explains how these gov'ts are able to provide 'affordable' health care ... i.e. every barrel of oil / ton of coal / pound of nickel etc. that is extracted from gov't land results in a substantial 'royalty' payment into gov't coffers.that is almost a list of countries famous for having affordable health care! I guess the citizens in those countries are studying instead of working at starbucks for the healthcare, lol.

^I've got a nerd, but we are devoutly "child-free."
I'd really like to move somewhere that values an educated population and doesn't glorify stupidity. Hint: that's not Texas, y'all.

Lestat on the mark. I get so frustrated when I read stories here or see them in person always makes me question why women have babies with these men who they know are worthless pieces of shit. There are so many stories here like this, such as one woman who had a baby with a man who already had other baby mamas. It should be a warning to a woman when a man has gotten other women pregnant that he's a loser. These people are the ones reproducing at a high level. Meanwhile nerds such as yourself are dying out and it's sad. I'd take a nerd any day (and am one myself)over a man with baby mamas.

i would have a baby with my nerd, but we are smart enough now to realize we aren't ready for another one..which is why "nerds" don't usually reproduce that much ( many of them are incredibly socially akward virgins to boot, so that's another reason). any kid that i have will be smart, my genes are dominanthehe

That is true too, most nerds I have met are very socially awkward. I tend to prefer these types of men but yep their experience is usually slim to none (including much older guys). The problem with many nerds is one has to be patient and that can be frustrating, whereas a baby daddy has experience and knows how to seduce a woman. This is probably why so many women get involved with these guys, though I avoid them and prefer socially awkward men.
I don't believe all Americans are dumb, obviously there are some pretty smart american women on this board! But man just 90% of the time I overhear american tourist conversations on a train/plane/restaurant I'm just like....x_x...it's entertaining and annoying at the same time. My last in the flesh encounter with an american went something like this:
"Is this the train to Ontario?"
"You mean Ottawa?"
"No Ontario."
"You're in Ontario right now."
"Oh really? What's Ottawa?"
"The capital city of this country."
Like...the city is written right there on your ticket can't you read? And the loudness. Stfu on the 6am train, people are trying to nap! It only serves to exacerbate that stereotype. I love meeting nice smart americans though, mostly because they all tell me how badly they want to move to Canada and I think that's just adorable!
