I found using a wide tooth comb over a hair brush helps keep them from getting fuzzy a bit longer.

It sounds like you want to make your own.
It's VERY easy. http://www.mrkate.com/2012/01/11/diy...ir-extensions/
Get some weave/weft hair in whatever color/quality you like. Get a bunch of clips in whatever shade you feel would blend best... You'll have enough for probably 2 batches... So think about that in terms of the price for the long and blonde (usually pricier than darker and shorter options) hair you want. Please please please try to DIY this.... you'll have awesome results, I'm sure.

I have a hard time because my color but your blonde so it should actually be easy. I used glamour extensions for 4 years and she changed manufacturers and they were too thin for me. Quality varies from batch to batch but I loved them( they are simply not enough to cover my 20 in hair anymore) her and her husband own pro extensions.com( she really isn't taking orders anymore). I've been using sensual hair online but you can get them at the beauty supply( not sure in the u.k) thought they don't last me more than 30 wears, they do look great. They have a higher end brand that's 50 more but I'm scared to waist the money. Your in the U.K their are tons of companies there that are supposed to be good. Head candy, foxy locks, diva hair. Go on youtube there are reviews. There's one company I want to try but for me it would take 3 weeks to get them from there and I usually get them right before a trip. I think lush hair was the brand I wanted to try and there's an American company hello gorgeous that's supposed to have really good ones but they take a few months to get and make. Also there's sallys( don't know if you have them there ) but my friend had them and they were nice.

Waste.lol.

Do you buy the human hair ones? Most are good quality, you can style and wash them and they last longer than synthetic ones. If you are fed up with clip ins, maybe consider getting some actual hair extensions.

Thanks Sam
I will give this a go, once I have figured out what hair to buy!
Thanks that's really helpful, going to look at some different brands now.We do have Sally's here but they didn't last so long with me and I couldn't get the length I wanted.
I can't Olive, wish I could. My own hair is so damaged, It's shoulder-length ish, but all different lengths really, very fine and straggly, from years of weaves and micro rings. It has no body to it at all just hangs in little strands.
I am getting the ends cut off today hopefully, but aside from that I don't know how best to repair it. I use coconut oil on it when I bathe, strenghening shampoo as well as anti-dandruff (I never had dandruff before, seems the extensions before really irritated my scalp)
Use Lush 'roots' conditioning treatment on it as well. Trying to eat loads of nuts and take a multi-vit for it. Wish there was a miracle cure!I envy women with thick, healthy hair!
The last time my extensions were taken out it just all snapped off in different strands.

I know this isn't what you asked about but I can't help myself, I want to jump in.
As someone who feels your pain, I'll make a few suggestions that worked for me.
1. Avoid heat on your hair. That goes for blow dryers, flat irons, curling irons etc. if you can.
2. Rosemary essential oil on the scalp... this made my hair grow far more notably than anything else I have tried.
3. Avoid tangles at all costs. Whether that means trims to eliminate those velcro-like split ends and split lengths or a decent paddle brush or a smoothing substance to seal your hair with some lubrication (I suggest http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/ren...d-0000528c7713) you need to make sure you don't undermine your progress as your hair grows.
With these techniques, I went from chin length, chemical burned scraggles to mid-back length hurrrr that I can actually wear with a bit of pride.
