There was one here in the D.C. area a couple nites ago, but the weather's been pretty ugly the past few days. Too cloudy where I was to see it but caught a bit of it driving thru southern Md.




Best ones are Lyrids in April, Perseids in August and next months big one are the Leonids in November. Check out http://stardate.org/nightsky/meteors for meteor shower calendar yearly. Make sure you're away from city lights and moonless nights for best views!![]()

Spent a couple nites last August chilling in a cemetery w/ a bottle of Malibu to catch the Perseids shower. Don't judge, I was new to the area & it was the closest spot w/ no blaring city lights to destroy the viewmissed the Perseids this yr but already scoping out places to catch the Leonids nxt month.
