When filling out an application to work at a gentlemen's club what do you put down for "Have you ever been an adult entertainer?" I'm new to adult entertainment and a couple of my friends told me I should say I've done private parties in the past.

I never filled out an app, I just called and showed up at the club ready to audition. That's what most girls do rather than filling out applications. Try to call them and see if they can schedule you for one.
+1 on what Sansonnet said. The first time you get on stage, it'll be incredibly obvious that you've never danced before. Most clubs are fine with hiring new girls anyway, so I don't see the need to lie about it.
The club that I want to audition for wants you to come in tell the bouncer that you want to apply and he'll give you an application to fill out and then give it to the manager and he will determine whether or not he wants to hire you

Half the time there is no application. Half the time there is. Chain clubs and/or clubs in stringent states/areas have you fill out paperwork, ask to take copies of your ID and SS card, etc. A handful of clubs do want to hire more experienced dancers, exclusively. They don't have the patience to train girls and they want to avoid drama-filled newbie mistakes. If that question is on the application that could be an indication that the clubs wants girls that have transcended the learning curve. Since private party agencies often have photos of the girls who work with them it may not be the best little lie to tell. Beyond that, private parties and strip clubs aren't exactly the same. It may not matter in your case but some of the clubs I've been at only want girls who have club experience.
Did you really do private parties before?
You could tell the truth and say you haven't really worked much in the stripping biz.
Ugh. I am SO bad at fudging the truth... I wish I could be of more help. Best of luck.

They will be able to tell you're new, so I do not think you should extensively lie. If you are worried about saying you are 100% new, you can put that you have worked a few nights at Club So-And-So in Blahblahblah City with a friend, but are looking for work closer to home now that you know it's something you want to do.
Theres only one club here that's more like a dive but every time I go theres like 50 dancers and 4 customers...Newbie drama??? What sort of drama do you mean?

An older, but good thread that relates to newbie drama and things you should not do as a new dancer:

Wow, with so many dancers and so few customers, the place might be cut throat. Are there any other clubs in your area that you can get to?
Just try out the $55 permit place then, at least until you can get the $365 for the Atlanta permit.
