Default Audition after 3 1/2 years off the pole - how did I do?? **UPDATED**

So I had an audition at noon today; talked with the manager, got the feel of the club, went up on stage for two songs and then manager got my ID and phone number and basically said "I'll have the hiring manager call you when she gets back in town" and not to expect to start working for at least two weeks??

Has this ever happened to anyone?

I've done plenty of auditions, and either was hired on the spot or told that I wasn't what they were looking for, then and there (I have tattoos, piercings, don't do pole tricks, and I've other reasons for not being hired at other places). However I fit right in with this club's look and girls' abilities... I've just never had this happen and I don't know what to make of it - of course I could just take him at his word but I'm all nervous and anxious and terrified that I won't get hired now.

i wouldn't count on that job, i would go out and apply at different places and start work immediately..if they call you back, then you can switch to them if you like but if they don't at least you will be working..i think that's odd too

I've had mangers call weeks, even months after an audition. Every club is run differently so it's impossible to know that they aren't interested just from that. So it's a good news bad news thing, I guess. Just keep auditioning to ensure you find a place you're comfortable with.

The sad part is that it's the only club in like... 200 miles almost. Agh. At least I still have camming.

You auditioned because you want to work... NOW!

Is there any other club proximate to affordable accommodations in the area? It is a possibility. You just have to evaluate if that is worth your while.

Camming is probably your best option for now. But I'd hate to quash your momentum. You might be surprised. Even if you can work somewhere for a weekend it may give you the motivation to do what you really want to do. Who knows, it may be financially rewarding.

I'm hoping that the club didn't just brush you off and I'm hoping that in two weeks you'll be doing your thing if that's your prerogative.

Thank you! I am going to go ahead and check out the other two clubs that are further away. If nothing else I could really use the financial boost, and definitely the morale boost.

Just wanted to update: I went ahead and went out of town to work while I was waiting on a callback. I'm glad I did! It didn't make my month by any means but it certainly helped and got me feeling confident in my skills again.

Then at the end of the month, I got a call to come in and work and immediately got put on the schedule and have been working ever since. It's definitely a slower club and I'm on days until further notice, but I'm there and I'm doing ok!

And I also still have other clubs a few hours away if I need a quick(er) cash injection.
