Default How do you feel when customers try to pawn you off on their friends?

I went to a strip club this past weekend and a stripper asked me for a dance. I told her to ask my friend, except she kept asking me and never bothered to ask my friend. Is there a particular reason why she only asked me when I don't even look rich? What would you do in this situation?

Did your friend want a dance or where you just trying to get out from underneath her hustle? I'm guessing she tried working you, realized you were cheap and figured your friend would be too. Or she was annoyed because you guys were doing that lame thing where no one wants a dance, but everyone thinks its funny to watch their buddy get pressures for one. Either way, she did what I would do. Move on.

Tried working me? I told her no from the start but she was persistent so it wasn't that she sensed I was being cheap, I made it clear that I was cheap. I told her my friend had more money than me anyways but she kept trying to get me to go to a dance.

i feel annoyed. like its some big joke to them, trying to "pawn" me off onto each other as you put it. but if they are being cheap assholes, ill try and hustle their friend, sure..i won't expect much though. god, why do men go to strip clubs and then feel that they shouldn't need to buy dances or tip?? how would you like to work for free.

Guys doing that is so lame. Totally palming you off on another dude-she probably wanted to piss you off in return, and looks like it worked.
If you don't want a dance, don't go to a strip club. I don't walk into a shop just to check out the stock-I intend on buying something.
I'd have probably done the same as her, have done many a time.

As long as I'm getting money I don't care.

She must have been persistent and thought you were interested . She should have asked your friend just in case though, unless he seemed rude or uninterested. Some guys think they are doing us a favour by saying, "No thanks. But ask my friend/s". The group might be there to have fun and spend, but the customer in question may be waiting for someone else, isn't ready yet or simply doesn't get dances. But, this is a "line", just like "maybe later" is a common line. Sometimes it's meant politely and translates into "I'm trying to get the stripper to leave with out seeming rude". Other times, guys think it's funny to set us on their mates, which is immature and wastes both of our time . Either way, I'll quickly ask the friend, gauge his interest and see what happens .

I don't mind. As long as its "here's $20, take him for a dance".
