Default Watching cameras in VIP to protect dancers/the club

In my present club the DJ is required to keep an eye on the dancers in VIP, in order to keep track of how many sessions they do, and also to make sure neither they nor the customers go overboard playing around.

In the club before this we also had cameras in the VIP/Champagne Rooms, but we only had to watch them because none of the dancers in that club ever bothered to tell the DJs they were going up, so they could be skipped onstage. And we had cameras in the regular private dance rooms so we knew where to find them if they were due onstage. Not my rule that they had to go onstage, I was following orders.

So I had incidentally seen how the dances would go, how grabby some guys can get, what dancing style certain girls had in private, how naughty some of them got or not, etc.

But last night I was watching one poor girl trying to deal with non-stop groping, fingering attempts, the guy grabbing her ad pulling her down on top of him, etc. I am duly impressed (again) at how much shit some of you have to deal with. Also I cannot identify with these guys, the last thing I would ever want is to touch a woman that didn't like it. And this girl did not like it.

I came really close to going and saying something to the guy a couple times, but she seemed to be dealing with it--albeit with some difficulty--and I didn't want to interfere with her money.

Djoser... What ever happened to Good-cop/Bad-cop? The dancer would appreciate it if you went in and laid down the law rather than letting her walk the thin line of "I don't want you grabbing me, but I have to play along somewhat in order to make money". If you told the dude that he couldn't be so handsy, she wouldn't have to shoulder the burden of fending him off without offending him.

Be the "bad" guy and the girl comes off looking like a peach!

Well you do have a point, and thanks for the advice.

I was borderline on doing it out of a protective streak. But I also know some dancers prefer to deal with it o their own. I did mention to her that I saw how bad one of the guys got before she went back in with another, and she didn't seem like she wanted more protection than she got, which was me watching to make sure they didn't get any worse.

I am not used to the idea of watching the cameras for any reason other than knowing who to skip or where to find a missing girl. Or being in a position to go say something at all, really--this is usually a bouncers' or managers' deal. Usually I am too busy trying to run a show to watch anything lol.

In your position I would have been inclined to butt in as well, for the same reasons. I would certainly consider myself blessed to have sm1 looking out for me, & at my home club in TX even had an arrangement w/ the DJs to do just that. There were no cameras but the booth was spitting distance from the private areas so they could keep half an eye on me. I esp told them when I had a bad feeling abt the behaviour of a customer I was abt to dance for, & knew they would have my back.

Sm girls tho, seem to be a little more willing to walk that fine line, & seem to be a lot more diplomatic in their handling of a potentially messy situation. I've nvr understood it, sm times I even wonder if sm girls have a slightly overinflated sense of being able to handle themselves if things really go south.

I remember the club you're talking abt, do they not have bouncers to check on the girls?

Yeah they do, in fact I mentioned what was gong on to one of the bouncers. He more or less advised me to keep an eye on her and see that it didn't get worse.
