Default Any success stories w/ pole fitness and under-the-muscle implants?

    Hey y'all.

I've read a ton on here about ladies who have had trouble with their implants while doing pole work, ranging from discomfort to injury. Of course, I don't want either of these to happen... but, I have been interested for quite a while in taking a pole fitness class. I'd love to use some "tricks" on stage, as well... but the main motivation for me is fun & fitness (there are a few ladies from my day job who want to go with).
I guess what I'd like to know is, if any of you have implants (under the muscle) and use the pole all the time, unlimited, without issues. There are only a *couple* of girls with implants at my club, and only a *couple* of girls who really use the pole, and they are not the same couple of girls.
So, no frame of reference where I work.
    TIA

I'd like to know too. I have submuscular implants and I recently got a groupon thing for pole classes. Share any advice please.

I'm a regular pole dancer. I'm in my studio 6 days a week for 2-4 hours. I'd consider myself a strong intermediate to advanced dancer. I can do handsprings, hold an iron x, jade splits, allegra etc. I have sub muscular implants and pole just fine.

The only other girl in the studio more than me is the owner and she has hers done as well. And she is amazing on the pole and dances for hours a day instructing.

You will have to take a few weeks off after getting new implants to allow the muscle tissue to heal before doing pole.

Other than that go have fun. Pole classes are amazing and we have several girls from the local clubs in our classes.

Yeah no, I was amazing on the pole prior to my under the muscle gummy bears and now I can barely do anything without feeling a pulling sensation.

I switched back to over the muscle implants because of this issue.

Hmmm... kind of a mixed bag of experiences, so far! The classes are only $25 each, so I suppose I could just go to one & see how it feels...

Probably varies on the size of the implant.

I just fit into a 32D @ victoria secret w/out spilling out of it. With a set like Mels I can see how she might have problems with sub muscular.

All our bodies are diff, won't know until you try!

I did 450cc and 500cc silicone implants under the muscle. I wasn't a pole pro before the surgery, but now I can only manage the most basic of spins before I have extreme discomfort. I think pole work is beautiful, and I'd love to be able to do it, but I just don't think it's in the cards anymore.

Welp... this is not good news, as you and I have *exactly* the same sizes of implants. I was sure hoping it would be okay, for the fitness benefits, but also because, like tuesdaymarie... I think pole work is beautiful. There are some songs that really speak to me, that I think could really only be done justice with beautiful pole work.
I imagine it would be difficult to find interesting and graceful moves, standing, that wouldn't come across all interpretive dance-y. Eeeew...

I had to give up pole work entirely after having my under the muscle implants. Like Arielbriel said, I get a pulling sensation. It's not painful, but I worry about what I'm doing to my boobs. It's been 3 years since I had them done, and anything like pole work, push ups, or workouts with weights still causes an uncomfortable 'tight' feeling.

I'm kind of in between, I was very good before implants, everything came easy and seemed effortless to me, but after surgery (374cc) I can also feel the discomfort and "pulling" if I use my muscles too much. I can still push myself and physically do everything I could before, but it doesn't come effortlessly, and I cannot do it as well. I get scared and hold myself back bc if I do go all out it feels weird and sore

I had an amazing doctor in San Diego do mine....he was just voted the best PS there so I think he's pretty smart about results. He really urged me to stay away from pole as much as possible. I asked for how long and he said "Preferably FOREVER...but at the very least 6 months to a year." I guess using your pectoral muscles too much can move the implants apart, which makes sense because when I flex my pecs the implants move to the side a little. If your boobs aren't in danger of looking far apart then you'd probably be ok but it feels very wrong for me to even try pole tricks now. The muscles feel weaker :/

That is exactly what my doctor said! He was voted best BA doctor in Atlanta, so there must be some truth to support this.

I used to work at a stage-intensive club and a few of the girls had implants (REALLY good ones too!) and still did massive amounts of pole work on stage. So it should be possible? I guess it would depend on the doctor's technique and how long you've had the implants in you.

I've had my implants almost 3 months and last night was my first night back at pole class. I would say I'm an intermediate/advanced dancer and before I was healed if I would stretch I would feel that pulling, but now that I'm healed I don't have any problems. Also I have 405cc's & an a 32DDD.
