Default Nail Saving guide by Whirlerz

Ok, so all my nails are grown long, & one cracks. Not just for look's sake, but it's cracked way down, so even if I cut it..ow Take a piece of a wipie (dried out) cut to size, soak in nail polish remover (you may need tweezers or one of those wooden sticks). Lay it on the nail, wait a couple minutes, then paint over it w/polish(I use base coat). Also I think there's some time of glue that can be used, but I didn't have any, as I just noticed it.
Not sure how it will look w/regular polish over it..havent done this in a while.

Edit: also, it's best (if possible) to do this on the underside of the nail, for reinforcement. And, sometimes the nail can still crack/break despite doing this. It's always best if you can 'catch' it at a smaller crack, mine's now halfway across.

Also..it was looking a bit skangy, sooo I redid it..used nail polish remover, & scraped the 'repair' patch off..the redo, it came out better this time, I used a bigger piece (it almost covers the whole nail. It takes lots of polish (again, I just used clear base coat)
I also bought Essence brand tip painter in bright white to do the french manicure, but am going to wait a bit to try it cause of the repair.

Ok..so, I am adding more on..what I find's helpful, I use one of those block files, after polishing repaired nail, let polish dry, then rub file over it to smooth/thin it down. (The patch makes kind thick).
I also just today removed polish/changed 'repair patch'

Ouch! My favorite way to save a broken nail is tea bags! Cut it in half, dump out the tea, cut it to the size of your nail.
Take a nail glue (one with a brush works the best) and glue it down.
Grab a buffer and buff that bitch til it's smooth.
It looks the best with a colored polish over it (as you can see the tea bag still) but it makes your nails sooo strong! It's almost like a French wrap.
