Any MA ladies know of an affordable place to get lash extensions, in Boston? I moved here a few months ago and the prices of extensions here are about 3x what I'm used to... Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations...
Thanks as always!!

what price range would be ok for you? i know i paid 200 for mine, total waste of money. couldn't put mascara on them, couldn't get them wet, and i could have paid 5 bucks for a pair of fake ones that looked much more dramatic. my friend got hers done, i know it was considerably cheaper but she also complained that she couldn't swim and had to be extra careful in the shower

I used to pay 70 for a new set and 30 for fills. I wouldn't pay more than 100 for a new set. I think I may have to just start using the strips again. I really love extensions though. I didn't have trouble with mine getting wet (although I did have to be careful with them--couldn't face the shower head, etc.) I get the really dramatic extension. Not super denseX but really long. I don't use mascara and just a tiny bit of liner... I do a little sparky shadow under my brow and at the corners of my eyes, then I put on some powder, blush, lip gloss and I'm done!! My make up routine takes like 5 min with extensions, vs 20 without (work make-up). Plus, I feel "made up" even without makeup with some giant lashes on, all the time. But, as much as I like extensions, I don't like them enough to drop $200 every month or so...

Just an idea, but allure.com has salon recommendations, not sure if they're for eyelashes..they have tanning, facial, etc. though so they might. Also, I once was looking to be a 'salon model' you don't get paid but they give reduced fee services, & the salon I was looking at had eyelash extension places (separate from the salon) in other areas (I'm in Chicago)..I'll have to backtrack & try to find out for you. I got the reduced fee model thing from the beauty section of craig's.

I always get a groupon for around 80 dollars. I have done this in Boston too.

You'll have to avoid the actual city unless you find somebody willing to work outside their salon. Just like any spa or salon service the city is super expensive. The most important thing with extensions is the quality of the glue. They can use any brand of lashes but if they cut corners on the glue you can end up loosing natural lashes or irritated. So if you call around a few places for quotes make sure to know they're using the same glue as the city places
hey! go to prettyology. its a bit pricey but the girl chelle is amazing!! i swear by her. she is UNBELIEVABLE and fills are not expensive at all. just the first set may set you back a little but trust me SO WORTH IT
