Default Any advice for stripping as a minor?

I currently work at a 21+ club, where 18 year olds are also allowed to work. However, we are only allowed on the stages and in VIP areas. We can not work the floor to converse and associate with customers. There is a stage where minors are allowed to dance when they aren't on the main stages, but considering there's one stage and 4 or 5 minors working at a time, you don't always get a turn. We have to be in the dressing room if we aren't in approved areas, and I can understand how it would definitely hurt the hustle if you can't sit down and chat with customers. Any advice?

whaat? where is this? i would say find a new club. if you can't hustle or converse with customers, or even sit or walk around the floor, i don't see how in god's name you are ever going to earn anything except for dollar bills on stage. how do they expect you to make a living? just give an out-standing stage performance and hope that guys go up to you and ask for a VIP? they are allowed to do that right? and at 18, you are not a minor. sounds ridiculous, if they don't want anybody under 21 working the floor, why not just only hire ppl over the legal drinking age?

Generally this sort of thing is due to the state Alcohol Licensing authority having 'problems' with people under 21 being present where alcohol is being served ( i.e. puts the club's alcohol license at risk ). In states where this issue has existed for a while ( I think that NY's new alcohol strip club law has been in effect for 6 or 7 years now ), clubs serving alcohol have simply opted not to hire any dancers under age 21 to eliminate the hassle / risk factor.

Nude clubs that do not serve alcohol won't have this problem.

Our club allows dancers 18+ but customers are 21+. The dancing manager is the bartender, so she knows everyone's ages. They do put wristbands on the girls under 21 so the bouncers know they shouldn't have alcohol.

In 5 years, I've only had 3 customers come up to my stage and ask for dances. I don't usually ask if someone at my stage wants dances until I go sit with them though. Plus, a lot of my customers don't even go up to the stage in the first place. I would just find another club if possible. If they don't let you actually work, there's no point in doing it. You won't be able to develop any real skills needed to dance. It would just be teaching you bad habits if they want you in the DR all the time.

+1 on finding a new club - at least until you turn 21. Surely not every club in your area operates like this? If so.... All you can really do is be SUPER engaging on stage. Eye fuck the shit out of anyone that looks your way, move really slowly and sensually, and always smile/look like you're having an amazing time up there. Are you at least allowed to converse with customers from the stage - like if one is in perv row? If so, be shameless about beckoning people to your stage (you know, the sexy finger wagging that calls someone over) and then try to hustle from the stage.

Even if you can't talk to them from the stage (in which case I don't understand how you're able to get customers into VIP), you can totally 'wanna dance' using only body language. I'd also recommend wearing a garter and being shameless about holding it out for tips from anyone that comes your way, especially if they don't tip of their own accord or ask for VIP.
