Default Has anyone who uses clip ins notice a big decline i hair over the last 2 years?

I've been wearing clip ins since I had real extensions ruin my hair. I don't need them anymore( my real hair is 20 in long) I wear them for volume in the sides( I like lots of hair I can feel around my face). Anyways I'm limited to companies because my color is 6/613. It's blonde with lowlight in chestnut or reddish brown. I found out through extensive research that lighter colors are not and will not be the same as darker un died ones. Any way I first found glamour extensions , they were good but not consistent. I'd get ones that would last 40 wears or more and ones that would last 20 but they were only 89.00. Her husband owns pro extensions and she doesn't answer calls anymore and the last 2 pair were unusable because they had gotten thin at the bottom and were shaped different so you could see my real hair( which has gotten quite nice) but I won't go with out extensions because I'm use to the feel. So I got a pair up the road bythe sensual collection. These things look great at first then 1 wash and they go down. I went through 2 18 inch and got about 20-30 wears and now I have to get 20 inch( they're 30 more and you get less hair). these were the worst after 10 wears they were ridiculous. I'd be doing a dance and look in the mirror and the hair didn't knott on the ends it was the middle. I'd try to run my fingers through but that would not work( as it would rip the extension right out. The lady who owns the company said they make a vigin remy ( it's 60 more) and it's not virgin because virgin is not died. So I got it it's called divine by sensual. I'd be happy to get 40-50 wears and 5-6 washes. That's all I ask. I was really livid she wouldn't give me a discount but she said send the other hair back and she's see if she could get me new packs. Lol it looks like I teased it. Does anyone have any experience with this brand? I looked on youtube but it's all black girls with the dark colors and they love it but light colors are different. What about Bobbi boss? That comes in my color but it's more expensive and the reviews were good 2 years ago but the new ones are bad. Thanks.

I have actually heard good things about Bobbi Boss from other people. I've felt it myself and it's really soft, but of course I don't know how it will actually feel after several wears. I buy Remy clip-ins but for some reason I can't remember the brand. Maybe Yaki? I have no idea. For Remy it's not that expensive. I bought 14" for like 60-80 but my hair quickly outgrew that and was the same length as the clip-ins so I bought 20" in the same brand at a littler over $100 for 7 pieces. It looks good but my old 14" are still in tact and in decent quality and I wore them for 4 months. Sometimes when I clip my extensions in they hurt a little bit and I wonder if it's breaking my hair off back there (I only clip in 3 to 4 rows in the back for a little more length b/c my hair is already really thick). But my regular hairdresser would have said something if she noticed any breakage, she doesn't know I wear clip-ins because I only wear them for work but she's very attentive about the quality of my hair and would've mentioned if it were breaking off. I am due for a hair appointment in a week or so, so if you still haven't gotten your problem resolved I'll ask her about Bobbi Boss.

Have you considered Bohyme extension clip ins? I am African American however I wear blonde extensions like a 27/30 color. I also recently started using Bella Dream hair which is phenomenal but is quite pricy. Ex) $200 for 4 oz/ 26 inches. But Bohyme hair is a great brand and their hair has a silky texture. Both brands have a wide variety of colors and a silky texture.

I wish bohyme came in my color but it doesn't. My gf had those, would sleep in them, have them washed and blown out at the salon every 3-5 days and they were awesome. They don't come in 6/613. Nina bobbi boss is probably good in dark colors. All hair in dark colors is because it's usually not colored and if it is it's not lifted. I read reviews for the bobbi boss saying it use to be good but not anymore( maybe dark colors still are?) Yeah the bohyme hair comes in my color in the tips but not the wefts. I paid 200 for the divine and I know it's the regular freaken sensual I've been getting. I can tell just running my hands through it. I paid 119 for the regular and 30 for my guy to make them into clip ins. I go to him because I only wear 3 pieces. I double wefted back piece( I wear way at top of crown and two 4 inch side pieces I wear way high on sides that I quadruple weft because I like a lot of hair on my sides. The one lady I use to order from and this lady told me they are running out of hair and that's why the quality is going down because one batch comes from a lot of people with varying degrees of quality( that's in longer lengths) like 20 and up.

Yes! I noticed a big difference. I think it's the weight on the hair.

I guess like a lot of stuff over this economy, there's a decline? I worked a convention recently, they had some nice extensions I tried on, Hi Chic brand. Colors were great, hair seemed nice (though I don't know a lot about it, kinda new to 'em).

That is true. They are skimping on everything but charging more. My skincare stuff, I noticed a decline 4 years ago. I'm so pissed at this hair and the dude who makes the into pieces for me! He knows on the sides I like him to make sure there's lots of blonde chunks. so he cuts two pieces he said were for the top since we quad weft it. We didn't have enough and he did them different and the sides are really thin and this hair is so freaken poker straight. He also tipple wefted the back piece and said If I wanted to add more to the sides the back piece would be only double wfted in some areas? WTF. I need to call him because the sides are way to thin. I usually add to more 4 inch pieces. It looks as if he could take the two pieces he added to the back and add them to the sides they'll be an inch shorter. who cares. I think that's what he meant but his English is ok but he gets confused! This hair is like way straight! No texture? I read to put old ones in a bleach bath to fix them and well I didn't know how much bleach and think I completely ruined my old ones!

Aww. I'd check out the Hi Chic, I don't know the exact web addy, but they have a site, they have cool looking wigs too. I actually 'tried on' the clip ins they had, I was more looking for bangs only (which they didn't have) but I loved their color/quality, matched my blond exactly.
The guy running the booth @ the convention they were at said they're known for their color selection/quality.

Hi I have been wearing clip in extensions for length and volume for about 3 years and I always use the Lord and Cliff 7-Piece clip in extensions. I have light blonde hair and each package lasts me around 6 months, wearing them at least 5 days a week. It is around that time that I usually replace them because they just aren't as silky as before. I get them from a hair and wig store here but here is their website: http://lordandcliff.com/collections/...s-extension-20
They are more expensive for the 20" length but in my opinion, it is a small price to pay for high quality clip ins.

Aren't they out of England? I don't think they have my color? I know I looked for these. I wore them last night and got a lot of compliments.I think the dry shampoo spray I'm using may be ruining them.

I paid 200 for these. Not cheap. The 90 ones I use to use were better.
