Default work schedules: common or uncommon?

What is more standard: a club that requires you to work a set schedule each week, or a club that allows dancers to drop in whenever they want?

The club I work at now requires a set schedule for the week, but of the six different clubs I've worked at in, it's the only one that has required a weekly schedule (although one club required one scheduled day per week and allowed dancers to drop in whenever they want beyond that).

I think both set-ups are common. If you're trying to figure out which you're more likely to encounter at a club you're looking to try out, I'd recommend just asking about that club specifically or calling them directly. Usually clubs with schedules let you call out if you can't make it, though there are definitely some out there that fine you for doing that.

I think that the standard for stripclubs in general is that there is no standard

in my experience its either going to be that they allow you to pick the days that you work as long as you work a certain amount, or as long as you pick a certain number of "slow" days..or they make you do a monthly/weekly set schedule. some allow you to walk in whenever you want ( never worked at one that let dancers have FULL autonomy over when they walked in) but you get a lower house fee if you make a schedule..if they let dancers fully pick whenver they wanted to walk in though, wouldn't they have 100 on the weekends, and maybe 2 on a day shift or monday? i realize different girls like different days, but i feel like on certain shifts they just wouldn't have any girls working some days. i know in my club NOBODY would do day shift unless scheduled.

^In my experience, clubs that allow you to choose your shifts are more common (here) i.e. you text your roster in on a certain day to book the shifts you want for the week.

Common enough on the East coast as slavery was south of the Mason Dixon line before the Civil War.

It’s seems either they are dictators or they don’t give a fuck. My club is on a walk in basis, but I try to show up on slower days too. My manager has let girls contracts expire because they didn’t come in for a few months. Legally we shouldn’t have schedules, big this isn’t exactly the best regulated industry.

Yeah ime it goes 1 of 3 ways:

Set schedule (usually for the week)

"Loose" schedule- i.e. can work any days but needs to be one slow day, or must work x # of days, etc

No schedule- pay your fees, work when you want.

Sometimes clubs will let you pick which system you want, usually there are perks to having set shifts, like lower fees etc

My club has zero schedules at all, just *try* to show up twice a week and *try* to stay for at least 6 hours per shift.

When I danced they started you off on a drop in until you proved you could be on schedule. it was ages ago, but I have a feeling if there any clubs left in my city they are still doing that route unless they've changed management.

I never got the hang of it, hated having a horrible night at the club and losing money in DJ and driver Fees. when I would make bank staying home, sometimes double what I would make at home . thinking I would make at a club.

It's becomes this hard hustle of being there, but also appearing you have a life. at the same time.

Every club I worked were clubs that allowed girls to work whatever days they wanted as long as they worked the shift duration minimum. Some shift minimums were 7hrs or 4hrs. The only stipulation one club had was you had to work either a Sunday or Monday in order to work Friday and Saturday.

I personally liked clubs that allowed you to come and go as you please. This helped when I was in school, working a vanilla side job, or maybe needed a personal/sick day.

I've worked in two clubs so far.
First one was no schedule at all. Come in whenever you want and take time off whenever you want, no explanation necessary.
Second club has no set schedule either, but they would like all dancers to come in at least 2 days per week, though if we can't make it then that's okay too.

i'd say about 95% of the clubs i've worked at had no schedule, and the ones that did were pretty lax about it.

one of them only made you work one shift per week, which you could choose. another one just wanted you to call ahead because they had a limit on how many girls could work per night. and the last one seemed kinda strict (by stripper standards) but i was there through and agency so i was exempt from making a schedule. i think they worked 3 shifts per week? not sure.

I’ve worked at one where the shift was 4 nights a week 8p-2/3a, if you miss a shift it’s $200, late is $80 fine. And then I’ve worked at a couple where you make a schedule a week in advance, and if you can’t make it that’s fine (but I think it’d affect the probability of you getting the shifts you want in the future if you do it too much). And then also one where you have to work at least once/month for a high house fee, or can be 3x week scheduled for a lower house fee. I personally like the once/month deal or the make a schedule a week in advance .

I worked at one club that scheduled three days a week and hated it. My current club is work four hours minimum when you show up and even then they let some of us that have been there a while slide on that if you always pay your fees and tip properly. I took three months off and nobody cared. I show up maybe four times a month now and they still don’t care which is good. I hate schedules, I get enough of that at my day job.
