Default How Many Nights? also lotion

I had my first night recently, and it went really well I made a good amount of money for a newbie, and the girls were polite to me (wasn't sure what to expect because some dancers say the girls at their club are super catty). The bar guy asked me when I next want to work, and I said I would tell him today via call or text. My question: how many nights a week do you typically work? What does a good work week look like?

I'm thinking three nights would be good, but I'm not sure. I don't care to get rich, I mostly just want a job that gets me the money I need while leaving me more time for my life outside of work.

Also, unrelated question about lotion: I've always had super dry skin and need to lotion my whole body after a shower. How long should I wait to do pole stuff after a shower? If I shower around noon, will I be fine to pole dance by 7 or 8 PM?

The beauty of this job is that you can work however much you want. Some dancers are happy working once a week or even less often, while others work almost every day. Why don't you try out 3 shifts a week and see how it goes? If you feel like you haven't made enough money, pick up another shift. If you've made enough in 2 of them to be happy, do that next week.

As long as you're not lotioning shortly before work or anytime at the club, I think you'll be fine.

As far as the lotion thing goes, maybe consider the type of lotion you use, if you don't want to plan your day around your shower. I don't really use lotion, these days. But, when I moved to Las Vegas a few years ago, I had to wear tons of lotion while my skin got used to the climate there. Some lotions are just really greasy and leave more reside than others. I used some stuff from the company, Amlactin, I think. It was great. I could put it on not long b4 work and still not leave any on the pole. But def be careful about lotion on the pole. You don't want to kill yourself or any of your co-workers!

I'm not sure if this will work for you but this is what I do (although this may be more showering than you want to do lol)... I shower at night after the full day/night of work or if I was just doing some exercise at home. So I shower at night and use natural pure oil (I like apricot oil) and I rub it everywhere on my body. Leave the oil on overnight so it moisturizes your skin but in the morning (or before you go to work, so that might be evening for you) you can shower it all off and DON'T reapply anything. Having the oil on overnight gives me enough moisture that I avoid dry skin and also any products that could make the pole greasy. I also find that using a moisturizing body wash or shower gel helps because they help me avoid dry skin but since you're rinsing it off it doesn't leave enough residue to be slippery or dangerous.

^Firstly, the number of shifts you work really depends on you-do you have a day job, are you studying, are you saving etc? If you are saving, work as often as you physically and mentally can. If you have other commitments, the odd hours could interfere with these. If you feel like three days would suit you then try that to start off with. You can always cut back or take on more shifts (unless the club has a minimum amount of shifts per week).

Secondly, if you shower and use lotion at noon and don't start work until later that night you will be fine ! It will be absorbed by your skin long before you get near the pole IMO. It's just best not to apply cream at or right before work.
