Default How do you deal with the loneliness??

All those shallow interactions always left me feeling pretty desperate for genuine affection. Combined with drinking & late nights it was pretty tough.

I always thought this was the reason so many dancers would stay with losers, just to have someone home. Thoughts?

If you work days, you avoid the late nights and often the drinking as well. But the biggest thing you can do is cultivate a fulfilling live outside the club so that work is just work for you, rather than defining all/most of your interactions. Pick up some hobbies, take a few classes, etc., and you'll meet some people you can have genuine interactions with.

I've always been in a long-term relationship or married. Of course, some of them were losers, looking back... but that's usually the case for teachers, accountants, astronauts... right? I've known dancers who were happily married for years and years, I've known dancers who were lonely because they exclusively tried relationships with men they met through the industry, I've known dancers who were happily single and found fulfillment through other sources... I've known women in upper-management positions who were lonely because all of their time was spent on work.
Loneliness is loneliness... it's a shitty part of the human condition, that happens to everyone at one time or another.
And yeah, I think the only way to ease it is to be busy with things and people that mean something to you, not necessarily romantic relationships.

There are a few relevant threads to this topic, https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...cal-Well-Being and most of what Optimist posts in LifeSupport.

"Wherever you go, there you are", I agree with what the girls above posted- loneliness comes from within and I believe that it is only by looking within that you can make changes. Taking positive action to remedy the situation by expanding your socail interests OS the club is fantastic, examining your belief sytems and reaching out to people in Healing fields is another (Holistic Counsellors, Group therapy, Volunteer work).

You are blessed to be alive and the feelings you are having will pass- how you cope and move forward at this point is all about the choices you make for yourelf
