Well I really do appreciate where you are coming from, it has been in my experience that:
1. Guys that are going to scam you never had the intention of ever being a paying customer. If they were never going to pay you in the first place, then it really isn't a loss.
2. Security through obscurity* just doesn't work. These guys get off on scamming us. They will spend their hours figuring out ways to scam us whether we help them out or not. Is it REALLY worth leaving other camgirls in the dark about these things in order to keep such things as the 30 second rule a secret?
3. I understand that you like orgasms, but I must admit I highly doubt that other girls posting about how they fake it have anything to do with guys asking for close up pussy shots. And even if it is because girls post about how they fake it then you do have the right to say no. It is your show.
I really hope this hasn't come off bitchy or like I have a stick up my ass. Before I became a camgirl I used to work in computer IT and I have had the whole security through obscurity conversation ad nauseam. It doesn't work with hackers and it won't work with scammers since they are both cut from the same kind of cloth.

IMO, posting here about ways of scamming doesn't give the potential readers a way not to pay, but rather lets them know everyone is warned and we won't fall for it. As for the camgirl tricks, faking and other things customers wouldn't want to know about, I feel there's a better place to post about them, like the verified part of the forum.
But the problem is that it is usually the new and unverified girls that need the information the most. By the time most camgirls are verified they have generally figured out all the common questions such as 'what do I do in my show'; 'how do I cam when I am on my period'; and 'how do I not wear my pussy out doing so many shows'.
When I was new I got the answer to all those questions to from chatting with other camgirls and I really would of been lost without it.

I am the same person here as I am on cam. So if they come here & read my post it will just confirm who I am infront of the camera as well as off. They can read my tweets & see I am the same no matter where they go.
Happy Holidays,
Sam

Yes! I'm kinda torn on this issue because on one hand...this forum is the best place for cam girls to share valuable camming info with each other. But on the other hand...guys are reading this forum too. I think maybe some people forget that (or just don't realize that) when they post CC threads about cam girl meetups, details on how to fake it, etc. Sure, it's unlikely that your spending regs are reading this forum. But enough people are reading SW to be mentioning it on Twitter and other forums which shall remain nameless. If you're a model who fakes things a lot and are posting about it on here, for your sake I hope none of your spenders are reading this forum. Because next time he takes you private, he might remember those posts and "catch you" faking it...and what an awkward moment that would be if a spending reg called you out on faking anal.....
And also, I think it's cool with communicating with each other through Skype.Just remember to avoid posting your Skype username here in the open forum for everyone to see. You wouldn't want a bunch of random SW lurkers messaging you on there trying to get a free show.

This sort of post pops up at least once a year and I'd think by now we'd realize that there aren't a hell of a lot of secrets we are keeping from our customers. There just aren't and most don't care. As to scammers trust me they have their own forums. The only thing not posting about scams on the board is going to do is leave more models open to be victims. And if a scam is posted here fewer models fall for it, and then it doesn't work scammer moves on.
Guys will ask for what they will ask for it's up to the model what she likes to do. Blaming silly requests from customers on the idea that they are reading CC I don't know that there is clear causality.
Also I seriously don't think as many customers are reading this board as we think. I think there are just a lot of bored people, girls reading threads multiple times etc. I read but don't reply fairly often. I don't see this as a huge issue.
As to let's post in verified, well that's of zero help to a new model, but I have been on this board long enough to see that some models aren't so helpful once they aren't new. And I think we all know at this point verified isn't beyond the reach of anyone super diligent about getting in. Fox that was not directed at you, because you are super helpful to everyone and always have been.

You're running your business how you see fit. I can likewise promise you, that we're running ours the way we see fit. If I wasn't happy disclosing the information here that I have, there's no way I'd have done it to begin with.
Eh, I love orgasms as much as the next sex worker / woman / human being? but how I perform as an erotic entertainer doesn't have anything to do with my fondness of them...? I feel like you know that already surely. I mean no offence, but it just looks like you've detailed your concern, begged us to shush, and then used that concern to speak to your audience (about your orgasms) rather than us with that.
My requirement to pay my bills when I'm working is generally higher than my desire to have orgasm after orgasm after orgasm... Wearing my energy thin that way, means that the duration I spend working is minimized. I cam to make money first and foremost. I cam secondly because I enjoy entertaining.
I'm honestly just not the slightest bit ashamed to admit all this... If a potential client or clients of mine has come to investigate me in this forum, (let's just assume it's happened many a time already), my career has certainly not suffered for it. With camming, I always want to be in a position in which I can absolutely stand losing my best paying regular. I've recently got myself out of that very situation (I log on, he comes online, he pays a ton, I log straight off). and it's been a wholly unpleasant experience. I hate relying on only one guy, or a couple of guys, to get me through. If a client leaves on the basis of this, no big deal! Easy come, easy go.![]()

We are promoted this way... MyFREECams.com anyone? And girls choose the angles they please, or the ones the customer asks for.
You have to adapt to industry changes... Trying to fight them won't do anything except leave you behind.
This. This is SUPER IMPORTANT. Ladies, if you're depending on a single regular - or even a very small handful of them - to pay your bills, you're putting yourself in a position that will result in needless anxiety and possibly financial hell. I have totally found myself neglecting the bulk of my regulars for one or two guys who popped up and paid big for a while, and it hurt me in the long run. Most of them move on eventually; that's just life. Maybe it's because they find this forum, maybe it's because they find another girl they're interested in, maybe it's because they lose some investments and need to tighten their purse strings. (For me, more often than not, it's because they finally realized I was being truthful when I said I was never going to meet them.) In any case, the best favor you can do for yourself is to have a diverse client base.

Perhaps these guys will read the parts of NOT begging, STOP asking us if we want to fuck or date them in real life, asking about PP, etc. Frankly they are the ones that need to grow up and I dont care if they see what I post. I'm tired of their shit to be honest
