So I've been on a super health kick these last few months, which is what I've been needing. I want to start taking fermented cod liver oil (in capsules). Experiences? What benefits did you notice?

I've never taken the capsules, my mother always made us take the liquid as kids and I maybe had one cold per year. I also have never had an ear infection. I've been thinking about taking it again.

I really want to take it for bone and mouth health. I've cut out carbs and sugar (albeit not natural ones) so no minerals can be depleted.

Oh I just posted about this, I have done tons of research .. been taking it for a few months now at least.. I take Green Pasture Brand. really the only kind worth taking, quite pricey but I belong to a co-op and she gets a super good deal on it... the capsules are the easiest to take, I have taken all kinds, cinnamon , orange, chocolate cream, fruit attack , capsules (plain).. and now trying the caramel coconut oil infused with cod liver oil, skate liver oil and some other stuff.. it's an all in one thing. hmm ok what have I noticed?? Not really sure?? It's super good for your teeth and prevents and repairs tooth decay.. so I am goin with it.. I also buy RAW milk and make my own bone broth.

do the capsules give a gross fishy aftertaste?

Yayyyy I really want to make the fish one! I will do it this week.
This MAY be a coincidence but... Okay so I went to the dentist and she told me I needed a root canal on one of my teeth in addition to a crown. I already had had a filling in the tooth, but then I guess it chipped and I didn't realize, and then secretly grew a cavity next to the filling. I was like HELL NO I am NOT doing a root canal (I have read all kinds of horrible things about how the exposed root and leftover pieces of the root canal makes people really sick like forever), and I would rather have the tooth completely pulled including the entire root, and then get a porcelain implant.
Anyway, so I was like FUCK NO and I went to a different dentist. I was super nice to him because I didn't want him to propose a root canal. So I told him I REALLY didn't want one (the root of that tooth isn't even exposed so wtf!), and then he checked my tooth and told me it was strong enough to avoid the root canal (I guess cavities usually make teeth kind of gummy?). So yayyyyy no root canal! I got my temporary crown today.
And I'm wondering if this is because I decided to cut out all sugar (except for occasional fruit) as well as breads/carbs/gluten. I did that right when I found out that I would need a root canal, because I googled about how to repair teeth and came across a bunch of people saying they did it using that method, as well as bone broth and cod liver oil. So I decided to give it a try. I failed the week of Christmas and yesterday, but I literally have upped my protein so high with egg whites. Since I'm a pescatarian, the only real protein I was consuming before was fish or seafood like 2x per week. Now I have protein daily. And I need to make fish bone broth!! That is on my to-do list, and yayyyyy I love your positive experience with your bone broth!
Anyway, so I'm wondering if my tooth started to harden because of this, or if that was just a coincidence?

Same!!! I've had so many cavities. My mom lost all her teeth in her teens from going on a grapefruit diet (she has fake teeth now of course), and my dad lost his teeth at a young age too. I was also given a medicine when I was little (for hearing loss) that turned out to wear off the enamel of teeth so my teeth had ridges on them for many years and they still break down easily.
I'm trying to avoid breads and sugars except for occasional fruit juice. And stuff like cod liver oil.
I'm planning to get invisalign (preferred) for my 4 bottom teeth, or will need 4 veneers because my wisdom teeth made them crooked. I need to wait til I get through with my other dental work first, by the end of the month. I really want to heal my teeth though, and don't want to do veneers unless I have to because they will forever need to be replaced so I'm trying to wait as long as I can.
Maybe I should start a dental health thread, hmmmm

^^ I am currently reading the book Cure Tooth Decay.. you should definately read it , if you are worried about your teeth or want to heal them.

My doctor prescribed cod liver oil to me. She told me to take two capsules twice a day with meals. Apparently because it is from the liver, it is extra important to get high quality product. I am just starting but I'll report back.
Glamourrouge- I am gluten free and I have been for a few years. I have found it really did help with my teeth. The other thing I got told is to rinse my mouth with water and xylitol. It prevents decay, every morning and night. So just add I tablespoon or so of xylitol to a litre of water and leave my the kitchen sink.

Yeah its talked about in all those cure teeth decay testimonials all over forums and youtube. I got the fermented cod liver oil, which is what I keep seeing recommended. Fermented, some are not I guess. Its around $50 for a bottle (2-3 months supply I think), but worth it I think.
I found this: about xylitol.

I am ordering this right now. Does anyone know how many capsules I should take?

I just ordered some and I am going to take 8 a day because that is how much it is to clear acne supposedly

THIS http://www.amazon.com/Carlson-Norweg.../dp/B003B3P4PO is seriously the best thing ever! It doesn't taste gross either. I take a couple table spoons a day. LOOOOVE it and it makes my hair super silky![]()
Yup, carlson isnt bad. But if you will take it on en empty stomatch, heh you will smell like a cat which ate a fish.

I've never had that problem with the lemon flavor one. My body is a bit odd though. Like I can't do garlic pills at all because I sweat it out and reek of raw garlic for days after... but if I eat a couple cloves, I'm totally fine.
so ladies, any updates on cod lived oil experience?
I'm taking CLO for over a month, no changes what so ever. I hoped for a cleaner skin, or maybe better mood but no. Im same pimpled bitch.)))i will keep taking it.

I'm not sure if I have seen results from the cod liver oil per se, but when I take it, like 10 minutes after, I start to feel like I have a lot of energy. I doubt its a placebo effect. And I'd rather be safe than sorry.
