Default Practice Camming for a few months.

I'm currently back at home with my parents and have kids, so I can't really get on unless I get lucky and the baby naps during the day. So, while I'd love to cam at night when he kids are asleep, I can't because my parents are around.. So my plan is to practice here and there until we get into our own place and then I'll cam for 4-6 hours a day.. I had my first show today although it was short and I made nothing. I have a couple questions and couldn't find answers on search..

is it better to talk to them with your mic all the time, or mostly type and talk sometimes?
do you just make small chat in free chat or do you do exciting things, or try to talk people into going private?
I feel a bit shy right now with it, but I think with time I'll be good.. How much time should I spend watching other cam models?

    thanks in advance!!

    Hey Bella,

Good questions! Also, do as much research as you can here on stripper web before you start camming full time. Also, don't sign up on sites like Chaturbate, MFC or any other that give the "New Model" status until you plan on camming full-time as new model status can be your best friend if used correctly to build regulars. As for talking vs. typing... for myself and I'm sure many other cam girls, using the mic to talk to your customers will definitely increase your profits - since you are living at home, try getting a high quality cam like the Logitech c910 as the mic is sensitive and will pick up your voice even if talking in a low-tone. Customers LOVE to hear you (especially during a private show.) Most of the time they will request you be in a specific position and it is easier to talk/moan rather than type to them.

As for moving around, it depends on what types of sites you are using. If you are using token-based sites, yes moving around is almost mandatory. Dancing, teasing, etc. The more bubbly you are, the more tips you are going to bring in. Wecamming is ENTERTAINMENT/SALES. If you are not entertaining, you are not going to get many "sales." If you are using private-based sites like Streamate there's not as much emphasis on entertaining, I usually talk a bit to customers that pop in to my room but I do tell them if they want more attention that they need to take me exclusive. I never really ASK for privates, but I do hint towards, or remind customers that if they want to talk dirty that I will not flatter them by doing so in free chat.

Also, you may want to think about making a clip4sale since it seems you are limited in the times you can cam with children and family being around. When ever you get a couple free hours, make some clips and upload to your clip store.

    Best of Luck!

I'm assuming you're on pvt-based sites, not token sites like MFC/Chaturbate. The hustle is pretty different on those.

    1) Guys usually prefer for you to talk out loud (and it's easier IMO--I feel like typing all the time takes way more effort than just speaking out loud) but some girls have great results without offering any audio at all. If making noise is an issue that might be your solution.
    2) Limited small chat. Some guys will try to chat you up for hourrrrs without spending. I don't do anything particularly exciting other than showcase my personality a bit. With a few exceptions (literally maybe 2 or 3 in the 8 months I've been doing this) guys don't need to be talked into private--the guys who act like they need to be convinced are never going to go private anyway. As I said I've had a few exceptions but not enough to make me waste attention on those guys.
    3) As much as you feel you need to, I guess... Personally I think that reading these forums and actually being on cam is a way more effective way to learn than watching other models.

It will depend on how you signed up. Did you sign up directly through Streamate or through some other website that put you into a studio?

If you signed up directly with Streamate then you make 35% of everything spent on you. So 1 gold is equal to $1, which makes you $.35 cents.

If you signed up with a studio it will be whatever percentage your studio pays. So 1 gold = $1 x whatever %.

hello. I'm pretty new but if I were you, if you have limited pockets of time (my problem usually), I've found it more productive as a newbie, to use those 90 minutes making photos, or trying clips, troubleshooting angles and lights and such. I will use this material to sell (I've only uploaded one photo in my profile and it has sold... passive income ftw), and it has helped me figure out where to put the cam, the lights, posing etc.... of course if you have experience just jump in, this is just my newbie's take on it.

I'm only in a token site, but in my experience it's not worth it to log in unless you have time to cam for 3 or 4 hours. Half hour shows have been a waste of time for me.

Thank you! I was looking into MyGirlFund too. Looks like it would be worth it. I found out my sister is willing to babysit a few days a week so I can work! I could start in January, but I'm trying to see if she's available sooner.
