I use 3.1 and get along fine (I use an i7 laptop and 8 upload). I set my frame rate at 15.00, and 500 for my bit rate if that's any help.

My bit rate is set at 56, is that too low?

56 is very low, 700-800 kbps is recommended.

I think you are looking at the audio bitrate, which is correct at 56. The video bitrate is to the left of that.

Thanks for posting this. Just wanted to throw in that I am currently having this issue too. I also have a recently purchased i7 that I only use to cam and my internet is good as well. It would happen once in a blue moon sometimes before but the last time I cammed it was horrible, which was a few days ago. It screwed up my money, I had to cancel a TV Gold show because of it (so pissed). I was using a wireless connection because I never had an issue as extensive as it was the other day, but I did decide to get a Ethernet cord to see if it will make the problem better. I haven't tried it yet but I will be tomorrow, I also appreciate the advice regarding the settings on the encoder, this will be step number 2 I will be taking to see if I can get this figured out. I will update on here if I find anything that helped me. There is nothing that sucks more then when you actually want to cam or get ready to cam and you have technical issues when you get on.

If you will download the settings file from the model console then all the settings are done for you. They seem to change it now and then too so I do it every couple weeks to be sure mine are set correctly.

Very good point! They def do change it every now and then. I had a producer tell me my encoder settings weren't what they needed to be and I had been using the same ones I had previously downloaded a few weeks prior from the model page.
