    Default Christmas Can Be Loving

    A Conscious Christmas is:
    An Unconscious Christmas is:
Quality time with family and friends
    Impatience, overwhelm and stress
    Aware and healthy interactions
    Habitual and unexamined interactions
    Compassion for others and yourself
    Judging others and yourself
    Seeing from an impersonal perspective
    Taking things personally
    Cultivating love at every chance
Indulging fear (impatience, anger, etc.) at every chance
    Being kind (no second agendas)
Giving so others will like you
    True and deep connections
    Sentimental interactions
    Acting and speaking with integrity
Letting things slide because its the holidays
    Caregiving
    Caretaking
    Conscious use of money
Shopping out of obligation or need to please
    Healthy, conscious eating
Eating and drinking to cover pain
    Open heartedness
    Evaluating, assessing, judging others

In short, a conscious Christmas is filled with experiences of love and an unconscious Christmas is filled with experiences of fear. Only an empowered heart creating without attachment to the outcome can live a conscious Christmas, and only a heart clouded by lack of self-worth and searching for value outside of itself can experience an unconscious Christmas. http://seatofthesoul.com/2013/12/con...ous-christmas/

Def having another unconscious Christmas. Not a fan of this time of year. Stirs up the family beehive for no reason other than it's the holiday season.

House is currently ignoring everyone because the "what are we doing this year" conversation came up again. And the one person who wants to do something "special" is the least busy person in the family with the most free time, who also contributes the least to getting these events set up because they feel helping pay is enough contribution.

    Is it Jan 1 yet...

It's a really tricky time and I've found it's good to bring the season into your own heart and let other people do what they wanna do with theirs. I've seen some cranky folks this weekend and clearly they weren't feeling the cheer but maybe next year it will be different for them. But I've got a great feeling going forward into next year so I'm bonding with those who are on that positive wavelength and building constructive momentum.

Enjoy your family members as much as you can and then leave them to their feelings. Keep it simple and you won't feel overworked or taken advantage of. Basically do as much as will make you feel proud and nix the rest. And when all else fails...send them love and light.
