As a web designer, I can verify that this is absolutely correct. It's not just one website; a google search for the right term will bring up dozens.
A lot of domain registrars/hosts offer a paid option that replaces your personal information with their company's general info - it's usually called something like "Domain Protection" or "Domain Privacy," and typically runs about $10-20 per year. Totally worth it, obviously.
If you have purchased any domain associated with your camming activities - even if it just points to a tumblr account, or whatever - you need to make sure you've got this covered!
^^^word, and a lot of hosts offer free domain protection so there's no reason not to have it
it's important for chicas to know that whois protection isn't an absolute guarantee of privacy though....it'll stop most creepers but even with domain privacy it's still possible for determined peeps/creeps to track down the info associated with the domain purchase

Yup! look it up on Whois is popular

Scary

Two web hosting companies that I know of who offer free private whois registration are 1and1 and arvixe. I know that 1and1 offers free private whois with their domain registration, but they aren't adult friendly if you get hosting with them. Arvixe offers free private registration and a free domain for life with their hosting packages and are adult friendly (link in my siggy if you're interested).

^^jack, why did You post the website that people can look u up on? Now im sorry that I started this thread.

^ Glamourmilf: Whois is pretty much public knowledge... I'd say most people (even totally non-tech-literate vanilla people) are acquainted with it. It's used for all sorts of things besides stalking performers. Plus it's the first hit when you google "look up domain", "find site owner", etc. I understand your hesitation but it's kind of like not mentioning pornhub because someone might use it to find recorded vids, you know? It's not really on the same level as other links we don't share here

Oh, ok
