This post will be heavier on the 'theory' side then my last post so I ask for your forgiveness in advance if I end up boring the hell out of you.
Just like other caretaker-based jobs like nursing or being a therapist being a camgirl is a very stressful job both mentally and psychically.
Unlike the more than 4,000 other species of mammals who manufacture their own vitamin C, human beings have an inability to produce vitamin C from glucose.
Many of you have probably have heard of the 'stress hormone' cortisol* which is released from the adrenal gland during stress.* Why you may not know is that the highest concentrations of vitamin C reside in the eyes, brain and adrenal glands.
What this means is that when you have an incredibly stressful day as a camgirl that you are burning through your Vitamin C reserve and since your body can not make more that not having enough Vitamin C can actually contribute to camgirl burnout!
There are many studies that show that taking a Vitamin C supplement reduces cortisol by diminishing oxidative indicators produced when cortisol is elevated.
The tl;dr summmary? Every camgirl should have Vitamin C in their 'burnout prevention kit'.
