Default Dancing on New Years Eve

Hi ladies, I know I've seen this question come up before but I can't seem to find a recent post - sorry if its redundant. Have any of you worked New Year's Eve before, and if so, what was the $ like?

I'd hate to waste my night if its slow at the club, but I've heard it can be quite lucrative. I tend to prefer approaching lone guys rather than groups or bachelor parties. Wondering if working in a dive club vs. an upscale club might make a difference? Thanks for your opinions!

I'm working the day shift of NYE this year. Haven't ever been in town to be able to work it before, so no idea what to expect. A dancer friend who has worked it before has warned me of weird drunk guys - even during the day - but I figure that's to be a given.

my club is making it mandatory to work since we're a small dive with not many dancers. kinda sucks but hey at least i love my job right? i have no idea what to expect. if the money is shit, i'm gonna be so upset that's how i started my year, but i'm gonna stay positive for now

I have to work New Years my manager cut me a deal on some fees if I would come in (and I'm not doing anything that night anyway). We're closed New Years Eve so I'm working the night shift on New Years day. I hope it's good. Xmas wasn't bad for me, just a regular Wednesday. Hope this holiday is better.

Last year that I worked New Years, it was decent crowd and money wise (I walked out with a little over $400 if I remember correctly). But I was also working at the more upscale club in town last year as well. This year I'm working in a dive but I also have more regulars and I've been dancing longer, so hopefully it pans out no matter what.
Honestly I'm more worried about the house parties around town throwing off business more than anything. And all the drunk drivers.
Good luck to everyone working tonight and happy new year! ^_^
Please be safe and enjoy yourselves.

Thanks for the replies! I asked a fellow dancer her experience and she swears it is always AMAZING on nye, plus I have been reading review sites to get an idea for the type of customer who may visit an SC on new years eve. I have yet to motivate myself into work tonight but if/once I do, I'll be sure to post my experience. Happy New Year to everyone!

I know I'm late to the thread but how was everyone's NYE shift in the end?
I worked last year and it was packed!Serious bank, same club this year and it was so dead the manager almost shut before midnight!
It didn't get busy at all , I made about £200 net, which is alright, but weird how so different to last year (same club).
