Question Best diet for pole dancers?

I've decided to crack down on what I put into my body this year and start dieting. I'm 5'4" and 112 lbs, so I'm not really looking to lose weight so much as feel healtheir. I want to feel good in my body and look amazing too. I've been looking into certain diets that would be useful to those who pole frequently, and I would really like to find something that helps with energy levels.
I don't drink sodas, coffee, and only certain types of tea (mostly green tea, chamomile), so caffeine is out of the question. No refined sugars or dairy for the most part either.
I've been reading up on the Paleo but am worried that it may cause a drop in my weight. Does anyone have a diet they would recommend for a petite pole dancer who is very active?
I pole a minimum of ten hours a week, I just started cracking down on my daily jogging and exercise and need a diet that will help fuel me. Any help is appreciated!
    Thanks!
(note: I have anemia and kidney problems, so I may have to alter certain things to work with that)

Hmm...kind of hard to say, I'll eat everything lol. Last summer I was really active in both pole work and jogging. I replaced eating rice with quinoa since it has more protein and is more filling (plus a lot less sugar than eating white or brown rice). I usually mixed veggies and tofu/an egg into it. I also ate it with an avocado and hot sauce. I've found I had more energy from this. For snacks I ate plain yogurt with fresh vegetables to make eating plain yogurt more bearable, it turns out that plain yogurt is a great dressing for veggies. I saw that you don't eat much dairy, so you could replace yogurt with tofu and they've got vegan yogurts out there. Taking into consideration your kidney issues I'm not sure if your typical diet limits a high protein diet, high phosphorous or food with oxalates etc., but I hope what I listed can give you some ideas on what to eat.

Yea, I'm lactose intolerant and have reoccurring kidney stones.
Thank you for the advice! I'll be doing some more in-depth research of the Paleo and try to tweak it to fit my needs. ^_^

You sound like you're doing Paleo already Paleo did help me drop the Fatty McfatFat weight but now I've stabilized because I lift weights and only do about 30-45 mins of cardio. These days I've been eating mostly pescetarian.

Incorporating a lot of healthy fats and proteins (if you can) like avocados, coconut oil, activated nuts, oily fish and healthy carbs like sweet potatoes, quinoa, oats, barley etc (if eat gluten), popcorn etc will help to keep you healthy, but hopefully not make you too skinny.
If you very active, your body will crave carbs so a bowel of gf pasta or black bean spaghetti with homemade, healthy toppings would be fine and filling (minus the cheese or substitute it for i.e. cashew cheese etc).

Thanks, not to throw the topic off too much, but what are your favorite foods to eat the follow the guidelines? I'm super happy about avocados

I eat a lot of fish, veggies and fruit. I'll tell you what it's easier to stay on track in PA then Albuquerque.

I'm sure. There aren't many organic stores in my town.

If you like avocados, have one and fill it with a homemade salsa (it's more exciting than a side salad). Zoodles or spaghetti squash are great and easy, so is cauliflower mash/rice. These are ways to avoid gluten, but they are very low cal'.

You could probably pick up some gluten free bagels or bread etc if you are a bread person and want to cut out gluten with out loosing a staple and carb from your diet. Otherwise, you could always make them.

Fav' snacks atm: Half a banana and top it with your favourite spread i.e. nut butter and raspberries. You can also do the same to dates i.e. take the pip out and fill them with your favourite spread, nuts, seeds, berries and fruit etc. There are some great org. nut spreads, peanut and cacao spreads out there (healthy fats and natural sugars would be fine seeing as you aren't trying to loose weight).
