    Default "Venom/Snake Bites" tongue piercing?

I wanna get my "venom bites" done! Has anyone here done this as a dancer? I know I'd have to take like 2 weeks off work so I'm not chatting up customers in a tard voice :p Hopefully no longer than that, though...
I'm talking about the piercings that are side by side on the tongue - not the horizontal one. The youtube videos look like jesus fuck, but I still really want it because it looks siiiick!
Also, I want a christina piercing on my vajiggly, if anyone has experience with that, although the tongue is more of my immediate concern.

every around-the-mouth piercing i've ever gotten has cracked my teeth and given me cavities within a year, which is pretty common with the metal ones.. so be sure to do the safe ones ( plastic balls i think?). i loved my snake bites that were on my lip..miss them. i dont have the balls to do my tongue, so good luck!

I want it so bad! It just seems extra gnarly to have your tongue pierced twice within the same 5 minutes ohhh my goodness.
I will definitely switch to plastic balls as soon as it's healed enough, thanks.

My sister is a piercer and I was considering getting my Christina done until I talked to her in detail about it. It's very cute, but it is easily (and I mean EASILY) aggravated when in the first few weeks of healing. It has a very high rejection and infection rate. Just something to think about, you may have to take time off of work depending on the amount of contact your club offers. I can see a lap dance with grinding causing issues with this piercing.
I have a friend who had her venoms done (snakebites are the double lip piercings, on on each side, I have mine done) and they healed relatively fast, you just want to be careful because an infection in one piercing can easily spread to the other with them being so close together. I would recommend finding a GOOD piercer that has experience and good references with tongue piercings because this can be tricky due to the arteries in the tongue.
Sorry about the rant, I've just had a lot of holes. Keep in mind that every body is different with piercings as well so experiences vary. Some piercings that usually reject stay on occasion.
Good luck and I hope it turns out lovely!

it looks like mine are gonna have to be close together because of my arteries. I'm really excited though! How long should it take before I can talk normally again?

It really depends on how you care for your piercings afterwards. Whenever I got my tongue done, I was very careless and didn't listen to the piercer. I used vodka as mouthwash, seriously.
But the best thing you can do is follow your piercers instructions, try to avoid any mouthwashes with alcohol in them (it burns like Satan), don't attempt to eat anything with noodles for the first week or so, and remember to clean your mouth after you eat, drink, smoke, kiss, etc. It took me about two and a half weeks, but I also got the middle of the tip of my tongue done, so yours may be different. Size of jewelry can make a difference too. A starter barbell (usually longer than a normal tongue barbell) can cause speak impediment and most piercers don't recommend changing the jewelry by yourself until it's fully healed, which can take three to four months.
I would say, once the swelling goes down in the first two weeks or so, talk to your piercer about changing out the jewelry for you at the shop. It costs very little and you'll know for sure that it's securely in there without doing it yourself and risking tearing of the scar tissue forming in your tongue or (even worse) having it close up before you get the new barbell in.

I used to have a face full of piercings and I took em out. They're fun but if you ever want to work at a top tier club most won't allow it.

They make clear, flat tongue rings for those times. But idk if a top tier club is in my cards really anyway....I like my small pond

Also if you're not getting hoops the posts cause gum erosion over time.
