    Default gowns?

    Hey guys--

So I'm looking to buy a couple of gowns for work... I have never danced in a gown before, I usually wear a bra/bikini top with some kind of underwear and stockings, maybe a garter belt or something if I'm in the mood.

Can you wear any long dress to the club or are there specific gowns for stripping? What are some good websites? What kind of colors do you guys like? I usually wear pinks at work but I don't know if black would be better for a gown? Any advice about what kind of gown style works best? I like the ones that have have big slits because I feel like they would be good for dancing on the pole, but I don't know if a gown club would consider that to be too revealing?

Also, what do you girls do about wearing a bra under the gown? I have pretty small boobs, 32A so I feel like I would need it?

    Thanks for any advice

I worked briefly at a more upscale club that required gowns on the week end, & girls were required to work at least one of those wk end nites. I had been dancing for a couple yrs at this point but nvr in a club that required anything longer than a minidress. Knowing nothing abt stripper-friendly gowns I bought a lovely floor length black gown -- well, it was lovely for my company xmas party last month anyway -- & asymmetrical to boot. It fit well, a little too well, couldn't do many pole tricks w/ it on & it was a struggle to get out of.

Your local stripper store might have more appropriate gowns, or be able to recommend sm where that does if they don't carry them. Don't make my mistake & just go to the gown section of your local department store!

Depending on the neckline you can probably get away w/ a halter-style bra, or a bikini set under it. Slits def seem to make extensions easier, but I would worry a little abt the fabric sliding in just the wrong direction & getting caught between your body & the pole. A nice sparkly cocktail dress might also work, is your club picky abt the length? I occasionally wore cocktail dresses that I could just rubber-band & fold underneath themselves when I got onstage so my sides could grip.

Yeah they say they want floor length. I'm really not into this gown thing!!! I like my stockings and underwear

Thanks for the advice! Yeah I figured there had to be specific gowns for stripping not just ones you'd find at Neimans! I really want to try a couple on to see what looks good but the only stripper stores I know have more of the kind of things I would wear to my current club. I'm going to take trip to Hollywood and just walk around and see if there might be something else.

That's my other question is how do you get out of these things on stage??? Ugh. I've been doing some looking online and found some good ones but I feel like I don't know which ones would work best... I know so much about what underwear works best on stage and what bras I can wear and what stockings will work on the pole, but nothing about gowns!

If you get any of those go with #3. I highly recommend kamalacollection.com though. Look for dresses with molded cups if you want some enhancement and let them know your measurements. Revealing is the norm -- I can't remember the last time I saw a gown without a slit. It's good to have variety in color so if I were you I'd get one that's flashy and another that's basic. Pink and black are classic.

I have that one in red and people compliment it. The cups help things out too.

I have a couple that are custom because of my absurd measurements and the fact that most of the gowns I see make me want to vomit.

Black, red, and purple are my colors.

Can't help you on the tits except to say mine are a damn good investment. I have seen girls at gown clubs wearing bras underneath.

i like number one, because it seems to have built-in cups..and face it, us girls who have are part of the IBTC need to accentuate out boobs with either build-in cups or a bra underneath. you have to consider how it will look on YOUR body. and while they all look great on the model, i've been disappointed time after time buying gowns that i thought would look great cuz of advertising that didn't work with my boobs.
so definitely either something with cups or something that woudn't look retarded with a little bra thing underneath.
and if its floor length definitely something with MAJOR slit-action going in the skirt.
black is sexy, i'd also recommend a color that stands out that you feel comfortable in. idk WHAT is going on with the whole muted pastel thing lately..as tempest put it " goose- turd green". etc

I also saw a girl at my gown club wearing a halter-style thing that was long in the back, almost floor length even w/ her stripper heels on, but the hemline rose as it came around the front & topped out around knee length or a bit above. It would fan out behind her when she walked & looked really hot! No idea where she got it but out of all the hundreds of dancer outfits I have seen that is one of the few that left an impression.

    i like these four:

    http://www.kamalacollection.com/Vani...p/hyp-1031.htm

http://www.kamalacollection.com/Cass...p/hyp-1106.htm (would have to have it custom made with some kind of slit)

    http://www.upscalestripper.com/silve...pper-gown.html

    http://www.strippergowns.com/ndp-4050.html

Knowing me and my shopping addiction I'll probably end up just buying all four, but I really shouldn't! lol...

Do you guys wear traditional stripper shoes under your gowns?

I LOVE the way long gowns look, but I find them clunky to dance in so I rarely actually wear them. I love when other girls do though. I love the first dress you posted. And yeah, usually just wear regular stripper shoes... although I tend to think clear or glitter ones look best under gowns

Have you decided on which one you're gonna get? The club I'm at now used to require gowns on stage every thuds, friend, and sat after 8 PM but they just recently got rid of that requirement. I loved it, it just changes the atmosphere I think.

    I love this one:

I actually owned this exact dress in pink and I loved it. It's easy on/off and IMO it's very flattering on almost everyone. If you go with this one I'd say just wear your regular black or clear heels.

^I love that one I'm just worried because they don't have a small, with my flat chest I won't fit in a m/l!

I haven't decided between the four I posted... I just like all of them!

I ususally did, you won't wear the gown all night

Regarding gowns, personally I don't like the two piec that much, I fancy the more traditional white alternative.

I also read online to choose symmetrical gowns. Because symmetry is more sexually appealing wheras a cut out dress with a slanted design or anything asymmetrical makes you look more a symmetrical...symmetry is your friend. But honestly pick which ever you love

I like gowns with a flaring skirt- it looks beautiful when you spin on the pole and the movement when you walk around the club is eyecatching. The slits up the side look is elegant sexy too though. Have fun with it

Ermagerg, gerns! I love gowns so much I moved to the only gown club in town, and I import them from the US and sell them to the girls at my club. If you want something cheap and cheerful check out the stuff at yandy.com - international shipping is $7.95 (if you've got 2 weeks to wait). I'm a wholesaler for Kamala Collection - the best thing about them is that everything is custom - if you see a different fabric on their website but it's not offered on the design you like you can request it. If you write "padded cups" in the custom comments section, they'll do it for you. The only thing about Kamala is that shipping for 1 item to Australia is $60, but for 10 items it's $100. I've got the Vanity gown in white. But I'd check with the new club about if it's okay to have midriffs showing. Would be awful to buy something and then find out it's not suitable. Every new girl buys black, which is a good staple, but black (and then red) gowns are everywhere! If you have the option of getting something in bright colours (I'm not a fluoro girl at all but I just got this http://www.kamalacollection.com/Cha-.../hyp-1164b.htm in hot pink and it glows gorgeously under the black lights and looks great with my auburn hair.

I've also got this http://www.kamalacollection.com/Show...p/hyp-1197.htm in royal blue
This in Indian green w/ silver sequins http://www.kamalacollection.com/Kama...p/hyp-4001.htm
And this in purple w/ silver sequins http://www.kamalacollection.com/Alex...p/hyp-1104.htm

Just a tip - the silk is really pretty but it wrinkles so fast

I have the venus in purple, temptation in red (it's a pinkish red), femme fatale in black, and vanity in turquoise. I have a small chest. I get a ton of compliments on the vanity dress. Very sparkly. I had a customer tell me once while I was wearing the temptation, that I looked too expensive! Sometimes I think it actually backfires to have a dress that is far nicer than what the other girls wear. But the Kamala dresses are all beautiful.

I don't wear the long gowns because even in my stripper heels they have to cut a shitload of material off the hem. I HATE being short sometimes. And around here no stripper stores do alterations. Fuggedaboutit!!

Is there anywhere to get gowns that don't have rhinestones on them? I'm not Liberace for fuck's sake!
