Hey ladies, so I'm bringing up this thread again cause I need to buy a couple more gowns. I bought one at a store here in London and it's nice but it's not anywhere near as gorgeous as Kamala Collection ones and I can't find anything like that here so I'm gonna bite the bullet and pay the $60 shipping cost.

But I could use some advice from you ladies who regularly wear gowns about which ones would work best and what assortment of gowns is good to have. I have auburn hair and I'm tan. I'm skinny with small boobs. Right now my plan is to buy two cause they ain't cheap.

    My favorites are these:

    1. http://www.kamalacollection.com/Xiom...p/hyp-1264.htm (pink or black)

    2. http://www.kamalacollection.com/Arie...p/hyp-1172.htm (black with silver sequins and a center slit)

    3. http://www.kamalacollection.com/Cass...p/hyp-1106.htm (black with a center slit... I'm worried the slit might look weird going down the center of this dress?)

    4. http://www.kamalacollection.com/Kama...p/hyp-4001.htm (green)

    5. http://www.kamalacollection.com/Vani...p/hyp-1031.htm (my absolute favorite, definitely getting this one either in pink or asking for a customized fuchsia, I would wear this even if I didn't have to wear a gown)

I prefer the two piece dresses just because I like to wear more revealing outfits. I asked a couple managers if I would be able to wear something that was a two piece but attached by fabric and they said that would be fine, but I don't know if another club might have an issue, I'm still club hopping at the moment. Have any of your ladies had issues with wearing a two piece gown at a gown club? Also, I'm wondering if it might be better for me to get a classic black one instead of going for two brightly colored ones? The gown I have right now is white with sequins.

They all look great. I've got the Vanity in white and it's super nice. Maybe get one two-piece and one full, so no matter which club you're at you'll at least have one? I'll always recommend bright colours in dark strip clubs, even if your normal clothes are darker colours. I've got auburn hair, and find that greens and blues are always a good contrast. By the way, the 'light blue' lycra looks almost minty in person. The royal blue sequin is my fav.

    Yay shopping!

    1. is a real showstopper, you will definitely stand out in that (i say go for pink)
    4. Is gorgeous and will really go with your hair colour

I'm not a massive fan on black gowns because I think if you are spending $$$'s on one you really want one that will stand out.

1.) depends how big your boobs are. I wouldn't go with it unless they're big enough to stand on their own since this gown doesn't do much for them.
    2.) love.
3.) I think that one has a slit up the back but I'm not positive. Maybe you could ask.
4.) Fave, I think this would look really nice on you with your tan and redish hair.
5.) I like this one as well.

I think you should get a black gown and a green gown for sure. Also, don't forget you can request cups in the bras again depending on how big your boobs are.

^yeah I have no boobs thanks for that good point!

    Thanks ladies!

God they really need to update their pictures! I was so in love with that green gown, #3 and it's no longer available (the color is but not the trim that's in the picture and I feel like the sequins make it look a bit cheap, I asked them if they can order a similar trim so we'll see). I know blue looks great on auburn so right now I'm thinking #4 in hot pink and #2 in light blue. #2 is such a simple dress but there's just something so gorgeous about it!

I looove Kamala collection. I have this dress in red: http://www.kamalacollection.com/Jord...p/hyp-1060.htm

I put my height and heel height in the comments section, and they somehow measured everything perfectly. I've never even worn mine to work, but I have no regrets...I just like owning it!

I was wondering about that, do you girls like your gown to come down the ground or to the top of your heels? I was thinking the top of your heels would be easier to walk about in?

I don't like rhinestones either, & it makes it harder to clean..I think a lot of those seem expensive, being as I really don't care for most of them, or if I do, don't like the colors they're available in.
I can't sew super well, but I know I could 'remake' a store bought dress to look as good or better than some of those

Silk and satin are not easy to sew with, fitting it to the body with big pieces of fabric like that and all the detailing... I'm not surprised by the price of the Kamala Collection ones, especially as everything is totally custom-made (you can specify length, if you want an extra slit, a different color, molded cups, whatever). Honestly I just paid more than the price of Kamala Gown for something that isn't even half as pretty/well-done so their prices don't bother me, it's the $66 that bugs me!

I like it to come down to the ground, just as it would if you were wearing normal heels with a normal gown (unless you're going for a short dress look). You obviously don't want the gown to drag, but I think they make the shoes look weird when they come just to the top of the foot.

I've been wearing Kamala collection gowns for 4 years. Some I've had that long and they stay pretty much in perfect shape. I used to just throw them all in my locker but now I take better care of them by putting them in ziplock bags. I also always take them to the dry cleaners when I need them washed. They are def worth the money.

I think I remeber the rule of thumb about length of gown being within an inch of the ground? I liked option number 1. I say go for a richer shade of blue. I'm a tan red also and I know that colour really suits me.

I ended up ordering these two:

    aries.png
in light blue with a front center slit

    vanity.png
    in hot pink

I'm so excited to get these. I'm really not a huge fan of the gown I have right now, it's pretty but just nothing special, I really just got it cause I needed one ASAP for work. But these are honestly so sexy I'll wear them even at a non-gown club! And I love that Kamala lets you customize, none of the colors I picked were offered in the gown style and they said they would do it specially!

My Kamala gowns have been sitting in customs for like the last 5 days... so annoyed! I really wanted to get them by now so I can wear them to work this week! Ugh.

Have any of you lades ordered from Kamala from out of the country? My gowns have literally been sitting at the post office for a week now... when I track the order it says "held" on the Royal Mail website and on the USPS website it says "Payment of charges - Item being held, addressee being notified" except I haven't been notified. I don't even know what post office it's at, all it says is "United Kingdom" so it could be anywhere in London. I'm assuming the one closest to me, but I don't understand why they wouldn't drop a notice saying it's there? I ordered a pair of Pleaser heels from the US and did not have this problem, they just dropped them at my flat. I've been working 10pm-6am for the last 4 days so I haven't gotten up in time to go to the post office and tomorrow everything's closed for bank holidays. I have a ton of errands to do on Tuesday and the last thing I feel like doing it running around London trying to figure out where this package is.

I'm really annoyed! The club I'm at requires that we wear a gown and I only own one gown at the moment and I don't really like it that much to be honest, I feel like it makes me look a bit flat-chested but there's not much choice in the shops here so I've been stuck wearing a dress I don't like for the last four days. Plus the house mom got annoyed with me last shift and said I can't wear the same thing everyday so when I come to work on Tuesday I need to have a different dress on. I really don't feel like buying another gown though considering I spent $400 on my two Kamala gowns, matching g-strings and shipping charges!

I could be wrong about this BUT I think parcel force deliver USPS packages in the UK. Does it mention what courier it was released to? One time my tracking showed it was released to DHL and I got the same message because I had to pay customs/VAT but I never received a letter informing me of this. I was able to pay customs charges on their website somehow.
Check https://www.pfwcustomercontact.co.uk/PCIAPSPublic/ (it's the "pay customs charges" link from the parcelforce.com site) and see if your tracking gives you anything like the reference number they ask for.

It says that Express 24 is the service that has the package? I don't know anything about UK mail services so that means nothing to me, but the parcel # that I have doesn't fit into the boxes in the link you sent me because it's only 13 #s long not 16. It definitely is some kind of customs charge they want me to pay I just don't know why they haven't sent me a letter! Would my best bet just be to go to the closest post office?

Och well worth a try. Yes parcel force (who do offer "express 24" as a delivery option) will usually leave it with your local post office for a certain number of days before sending it back to a parcel force depot. So best bet is local post office first and see what they say.
