There are definitely gowns specific for dancing. Lol. I would use Google and look for the cheapest one. Www.howcool.com has also of stripper stuff and you gets points toward free stuff each time you shop there. For advice on which looks, colors and make up styles attract which types of customers, check out Entice Me Get the Look That Will Enchant Him by Carmen Monique. If you find any other good books out there, join my group Bookworm Beauties and talk about them

Good luck Audrey. I hope you manage to get your gowns.

I live three blocks away from the Kamala collection warehouse. I have so many beautiful gowns and short dresses that I got for cheap ($5-60) from their bargain bins and their thongs are top notch. It almost makes me want to work gown clubs again. Their customer service is great too. If you're in new York, I highly recommend making a trip. Sometimes I wear their short dresses when I go out and damn I never have to wait in line in the meatpacking district. lol.

So I found the notice I got from PacelForce, my flatmate picked it up on the 16th and just thought it was a good idea to hold on it... for god's sake, ugh but I just paid it and it can't be delivered until Wednesday so I hope I don't get shit for wearing my same dress again tomorrow...

These gowns better be amazing cause I've spent $60 on shipping, $50 on customs fees and been waiting 3 weeks for them to arrive! lol

They'll be beautiful. They truly are made for dancers - slits in all of the right places and whatnot. But more importantly, they'll last forever! They'll pay for themselves within the week.

What an annoying roommate ugh. glad to hear you're gonna get them now! Don't let them give you shit. You're gonna look like money when you wear those gowns! And you'll definitely make money when you wear them. I definitely noticed a difference when wearing the cheap looking gowns my club sold and the Kamala. When wearing the Kamala gowns I definitely attracted the right type of customer.

Neon green does look good on almost everybody. I see a lot of girls wearing bras with a push up to push up small boobs or bikini tops with the triangles pushed close together to make cleavage. And of course there is always the bronzer trick to make cleavage more noticeable.

So I got my gowns today....

I'm really disappointed to be honest. I don't like the fit of either of the dresses-- the triangle pieces for the vanity dress are so big that my entire boob is covered up in them, it look like I have NO cleavage whatsoever... I'm a 32A so I don't have much boob to pop out, so if the cups are big I look like a boy, lol. The rest of the dress fits nicely-- but I reeeeally don't like the color. I told them I wanted hot pink, and it does not look hot pink at all to me-- it looks like a really dark pink and I'm not into it. I love the color of the Aries dress, but the fit is really strange-- first of the all, the dress doesn't open in the back with a hook, you have to pull it over your head, so getting that dress off doing a private dance, let alone onstage is going to be a real hassle and not look sexy at all, plus it keeps getting caught in my hair extensions when I practice taking it off and pulling them out (which I can't have happen while I'm on stage, lol). And I just don't find it flattering at all in the torso area, I just ate quite a big meal so I'm hoping once my bloat goes down the fit will change, but it's sort of loose in a couple areas and pulls oddly in others....there's also some weird ripping on the sides in the hip area... don't think I'll be wearing that one. The g-strings are gorgeous but I never should have ordered the ones with the rhinestones in the back, they keep getting caught on the dress and the fabric is so delicate I'm really worried they're going to make it rip. But that was totally my fault for not thinking it through, they're gorgeous!

Oh well, it's my fault for ordering something that needs to fit so specifically online! Ugh. Since they're custom, I guess I'm stuck with them, it's just quite annoying to have spent $500 on basically one dress and a few g-strings.

The other thing I thought was strange was the packaging it came in-- $381 worth of clothing and they didn't even send it in a box, they just stuck it in a mailing envelope. Seriously? You charged me $60 for shipping and you couldn't even be bothered to stick it in a box with some foam to protect it?

If you're not happy, I'd at least contact them & let them know..you should, at the very least, get replacements..I understand about the bust thing, I'm the same size, I can't stand it not looking great, you spent a lot of $, & time for that stuff
I would contact their customer service, if necessary speak to a supervisor, & tell them everything, & insist on getting satisfaction whether it's a replacement or your $ back
Wow, @ the shipping container, esp. for international..I was a power seller on Ebay, packaging/shipping is very important, very, customer service too.
ETA: If the above doesn't get you satisfaction, I would then file a Better Business Bureau report (bbb.org) since they're in the US/and or contact their state's Atty.General Office, & you can try if they have something similar in the UK..
IDK if they're the High Priestess of gowns, they messed up & need to make it right by you.

Great advice. Give them a chance to make it right.

Audrey - I'm seriously so down that your gowns aren't what you wanted. Especially after I was so sure they'd blow your mind! That's the worst feeling...paying a bunch of money, weeks of anticipation, and then a letdown.

Are you sure they're as bad as you think? Did you just work them up in your head while you waited for them to arrive? Is there any way you could post a couple of neck-down pics to get some feedback from us?

I e-mailed them and they said they would do an exchange, I just don't even know if it's worth it at this point. I would have to pay to ship the gown back, $60 for shipping all on their end all over again, then customs fees once they send me another one-- for that price I could just buy another gown, if not two! And then of course I will have to wait another few weeks for it to arrive... and if I do go through that I feel like I should just send them both back.

The biggest issue is the fit with the Aries gown, but I'm gonna try it on again tomorrow at work-- I don't have a full-length mirror in my flat so I can get a better look there-- and see how it looks. Maybe I'm just not pulling it on correctly or something, I dunno. I can't tell if the gown is badly sewn (the rippling is what makes me think it's the sewing) or if it's just a weird fit on my body, because there are definitely some places where it's loose and some where it's too tight. And yeah, I'll post some pics tomorrow when I get to work-- I'm not used to wearing gowns, so perhaps it's me!

If they really are that bad, perhaps consider selling them at a higher cost than what you bought them for (factor in shipping and customs costs). I'm assuming the UK has some version of craigslist. I bet girls would love to buy custom-made, new-quality dresses that came all the way from NYC!

I just got my Aries in the mail yesterday and I'm very disappointed too. I already have a short torso, but somehow the torso of the dress is so short that I have to constantly adjust it to cover my boobs, and when my boobs are covered the "low sexy back" is close to my waist. It makes me look flat despite the extra padding I requested when it is pulled up. Also, the cut emphasizes my pear shape in a bad way, although this part is my fault because I should have been able to anticipate that from the picture. I might try to exchange it for this one in red: http://www.kamalacollection.com/Mari...p/hyp-4027.htm. I'm on the fence because I have such small boobs and have no idea if this will be flattering without molded cups.

I have this same issue with the Chelsea dress...it doesn't really look "bad" per se but yeah, definitely not the sexy, open low back and hips look you see in the pictures.

Also I never could figure out how to take it off sexily like Audrey mentioned being concerned about...but I thought that was just me.

To be fair, I love three of the items I've bought, like two, and hate two. Five out of seven isn't great, but with limited stores (even in NYC), I'll continue to take the risk in the future considering their return policy.

Yeah, I think it's just a badly designed dress. I'm thinking of possibly taking the padding out cause I feel like that might make it fit better, but I dunno. Ugh. I'm not in love with the way my boobs look in the vanity dress but at least the rest of it looks good on me so I'm going to wear that one this weekend. I mean, the aries looks great on the model in the picture, but I'm sure they tailor-made the dress to fit her measurements and she's a model so she's got a perfect body!
I just haven't found anything nice and different like the Kamala gowns in England... all the girls at my club wear the same dresses, the one I usually wear 5 other girls have the exact same dress in the same color or a different one and one of them is always wearing it. All of the gown sites that are UK based just have these lame, boring looking gowns. So I might end up just returning this one and ordering a third gown so at least the shipping is kind of worth it...

Yeah, the first one is not for small boobs really..I mean I've seen girls wear it with small boobs but it looks better if your boobs are enhanced.

I'd recommend hiring a professional seamstress (you're in London so this will be easy to find with all of the theater). alter these dresses and then use this same seamstress to use these dresses as a base to make new ones for you in the fabric you want in a cut that's flattering for you. that way you can print out pictures of kamala dresses you love but mix and match the details, like choosing this top with that bottom with no rhinestones and stuff like that. you can also try on the dress once the fabric is cut but not sewn and if it's terrible you can easily alter it or start over without paying for a completely new dress.

I did this for my prom dress and it was around $100 and.was totally worth it. I'm going to do it for my gowns once I start working in a gown club again. I'm also going this route for suits for vanilla interviews.

Genius! I always forget how cheap it can be to have clothes tailored. Even if you have an outfit that fits well, getting it tailored to fit perfectly just makes it look that much more expensive.

So I think the gown is fine actually, lol. I was trying it on last night at work and the house mom came over and pulled something in the back of it and it straightened out the front part of it. I'm not absolutely in love with the fit of it, but it looks a lot better than it did a few days ago. And the light blue just looks AMAZING with my hair/coloring-- I sold a CR to a 22 year old British student who could NOT afford it and had to pay on two cards within 10 minutes of leaving the DR in that dress, so I think I'm gonna keep it! lol. But getting it and out of it is not easy, I basically have to go back to the DR because with my heels on I keep falling over and I have to look at the front/back of it to make sure it doesn't get all f-ed up and tangled. The Vanity dress is a hell of a lot easier to deal with but definitely not as flattering color-wise.
