Default How to make face look more feminine?

I have a manly/horse looking face, and I hate it. I have a long nose and a long face in general, and I hate it. :/
    .
So jealous of people with fuller, cute short faces with high cheekbones like the Victoria Secret models, and most conventionally attractive women.
    .
Are there ways to fix this or at least minimize it? I find all kinds of tips about making face look slimmer, but that's not the problem...my face is just too long, and I have no cheekbones. I'm saving up for a nose job, but it'll be at least a year until I have enough money for that probably...
    .
Anyway, if I had an attractive face, I'd probably make more money, but it's also nice to be attractive in life in general. And the face is my downfall.

Um, Gisele has a long thin face. I do do know what you're getting at with the facial trends of VS models lately though.

Contour. Just as it makes a face thinner, it plumps it up. Try to catch a episode of Rupaul's Drag Race to see what I mean, they usually show the makeup process a little.

cut your hair so it's fuller around the sides of your face. that makes your face seem fuller. sort of like a bob but with layers like rachel from friends. jen aniston If your hair is really long make sure you get a layered look and not straight like cher

Maybe try going to Sephora or somewhere, they've makeup artists there, that can give you some ideas. I would say contour also.

like the others said, contouring makeup tricks, and hairstyles. you can usually find a ton of goo references but looking up say " hair styles for long/square/oval/etc face types with a very large array of places to look, even things on what is the best style of eyeshadow and liner for certain eye shapes and so on. True these are optical illusions, but isnt everything we do when getting gussied up anyway?

long faces though I can tell you long straight hair is bad as is long necklaces- you dont want things to pull your features down. A fix if you must have longer hair, is volume , be it loose curls, or wavy, you want to bring that out and let it fill out the face more.

i PMed you, but ill write a bit here too for anybody else who has had long face issues!
simply having a long face won't make you unattractive. Liv tyler, leona lewis, jennifer carpenter ( the sister from "dexter"), jennifer love hewitt all have long faces and are all gorgeous!
but having a bony face long face with very pronounced "hard" features will give the impression of a "horse face". my face shape is "long heart" i used to suffer a bit from horse face syndrome but found a lot of things helped totally change it this year and now my face is "generically attractive"

-i added light bangs and layered my hair, creating curls at the sides. you need WIDTH to any hairstyle, preferably hitting the cheek or jaw area. a soft feminine FULL hairstyle is the ticket. whatever you do, don't do straight long hair parted in the middle..its the kiss of death. don't wear long earrings. pretty much any long vertical lines around your face should be avoided.

-having super arched eyebrows will also make your face appear longer. more "natural" and straight brows compliment a long face, and be sure and don't overpluck at the ends!

-i found that i was so thin that my face looked gaunt. when i told ppl i was 115 lbs at 5'5 it sounded totally normal but it wasn't right for my body. i had hollowed cheeks, and everything was sharp because i wasn't eating enough. now my face has filled out and looks soft and feminine again!
-i got juvaderm shots in my cheeks before the weight gain, and a non-invasive nose job with juvaderm with made my face a TON fuller and more youthful looking. its like 500-600 bucks and lasts a year. plus it takes maybe 8 minutes.

-having a thin face will make your nose look bigger.

    -smoking will accentuate sunken cheeks

-with makeup,, use a bronzer and dust it on your lower chin, and the top of your forehead. apply bronzer to the tip of your nose. bronzer minimizes, light colors maximize. put blush on the apples of your cheeks, not the top of your cheekbones. emphasize your lips and eyes, so that they become the main focus.

other than that..not a hell of a lot you can do short of going under the knife. long faces can look very regal and ethereal or sophisticated you just gotta work with 'em!

I use to have what I call a 'Pumpkin Face" very round with no definition of my cheek bones. I use to long for a thinner face with sharp cheek bones and cat like eyes instead of the round deep set eyes I have.

Now that I'm older, my face isn't as round. But my point was, it seems like the grass is always greener.
