Default best pole to buy for my home?

Hey ladies, I'm looking into buying a pole for my guest bedroom in my apartment. I'm good at pole tricks but don't do much pole work anymore at all. I used to do tons of pole work and as a result I gained a ton of upper-body strength and got very strong for my small stature. I'd still like to keep that strength so I want a pole to play around on as an exercise tool to keep myself strong and fit.

So what's a good pole to use? I want one that can be easily removed in case family visits or something. Also, I've heard that the non-brass pole are very slippery; I definitely wouldn't want to have to deal with that.

    Any tips?

Xpole is supposed to be the top choice. Multiple finish choices & you can get single or dual-mode (static+spinning) they do have models that are pressure-mounted rather than having to bolt into your ceiling. I got a Carmen Electra one last summer (Xpole knockoff) but nvr used it, 1st ceiling was too high then moved in w/ bible-thumping landlord&landlady. Gave it to a friend but will ask if she has done anything w/ it yet.

I just tried a pole studio this wk end whose poles are either chrome or stainless steel, I am not sure which. Brass remains my favourite but whatever this material was, I had little problem gripping it & it was my first time hopping on a pole in like 3 months.

I have a chrome .45mm pressure mounted. A few of my pole friends also have the same exact one. It comes with storage bags and the tools to assemble it but you will need a level. The only time there was really a grip problem was when it got cold and my friend had hers in her not so warm garage...so it got moved into the middle of her living room and problem solved You can check out you tube for a video of its assembly, it is not difficult. Any cheap pole, like the Carmen electra pole is more of a novelty item and less of a safe to be upside down kind of pole. My friend had a pole that was an xpole knockoff and cost about half the price of mine and worked just fine, and safely. If brass is what you want to have, it's just going to cost you a bit more.

I have a lil mynx pole, it's partially mounted and very easy to put up and take down. Some have a powder paint which gives you a pretty solid grip without making it difficult to spin. They can also hold their own with tricks (my bf and his friend have both done inverts on it and they both weigh over 180lbs). The ceiling mount has a plant hook attachment to disguise it and the price is lower than an xpole.

I've had both lil mynx and x poles in my apartment and while the lil mynx is a good cheaper option, espescially for someone who is new to pole dancing and doesn't know how serious they will become about it, X pole are professional grade poles that they use in competitions and I've seen them in clubs too, and I find them easier to take down and put back up than the lil mynx, but both are very doable: kind of a 5 min vs 15 min thing. I also screwed my lil mynx into the ground in my apartment for extra stability on the hardwood floors. My xpole is strictly tension mounted. One thing though: I need to adjust it more often to make sure it is safe, it hasn't fallen over, but it has migrated and gone kind of sideways while some has been on it before. I always make sure to tighten it up before I have pole parties now. I also like that my x pole has an option for spinning. Stationary mode is good for practicing for the club, and getting a good workout, spinning mode is good for practicing posture in different poses and building strength, also, so fun! If you can afford it I'd go for the x pole, my newest pole is a titanium gold finish x pole and I love it and all my friends love it

I definitely love my xpole, I recommend the 45mm as well. I have the 50 because it's what my club at the time had, and I think it's too large for home use (being a small person). When I'm dancing alone instead of performing extra work for the wider grip is just hard to get motivated.

i have a 45mm chrome xpole, static/spinning. i find the grip is quite good, better than the poles at work! sometimes i'll use grip gloves when learning new moves and as i get better just ditch the gloves. i find thats what works best for me.

I too owned a X-Pert 45MM chrome X-Pole. It worked perfectly, was easy to set up, and best of all, it did not require any holes in my ceiling. Also, it was very stable and NEVER moved!

I have two poles, one is called a D-pole I found it on ebay, it is very similar to the xpole. It is sturdy, never moved, and I did a lot of tricks on it. It was suppose to spin, but it never did. It was a good beginner pole. I have since bought a new xpole xpert titanium 45mm. I love it! I have slanted 11ft ceilings in the room i use it in so I had to buy a mount. However, I love that it actually spins!! I have heard decent things about the little mynx pole. It all depends on your budget and how serious you are about pole. If you are serious I would skip straight to the xpert pole. However, the extra pole made my life easier when setting up my studio.. Have fun poling & be safe!
