That is ridiculous and I can't see why the owner wouldn't fix things when you talk to him. Try to relax tonight and deal with it tomorrow. Sorry that happened.

I am so sorry, sounds like you had to deal with a total ass!!! I am not a stripper and am not educated about clubs but since you have experience would it be possible to go to a different place? I hate the pattern in this industry, as if those who are not owners of these establishments be it camming, stripping or what not can treat people as they please. I've been in similar situations at a vanilla job as both an employee and as management, I would recommend to speak to him directly face-to-face, the owner. Naturally, you are upset with good cause but I also suggest thinking over what you will say and how you will say it before hand. This will lend you even more credibility and perhaps make him question the integrity and skills of the manager in question.

I'd wait until he's cooled down. Sounds like he felt out of control and need to control something [you] If he has compassion he'll hire you back when he realizes he acted in haste. Sry about your sitch!

uffff that sounds so awful i'm sorry girl for sure talk to the owner in person, possibly set a convenient time to do so over the phone beforehand?? it's so crazy, i read your posts on here and i think you're a super sweet, intelligent, and competent dancer -- what a reminder that even the best of us are still subject to the asshole tactics of upper management in this industry. i hope everything can get smoothed over w ur sister club... some lethal stripper charm is in order! *hug*

I'm sorry, I totally understand how you feel... I've been suspended all week for asking my manager to kick out a guy who stuck his hand down my pants on the floor.

I would go to the owner and state your case. From my experience this week anyway I would say these guys stick together but there is wiggle room... I was originally suspended for two weeks and the GM said he couldn't let me come back right away because that would be "undermining" the other manager but he did lower my suspension to one week. So maybe you can convince him to suspend you instead?

Managers are such assholes. Seriously they've always been my LEAST favorite people to deal with at the club!

thank you guys! yeah audrey K, that's my only worry..that he will say " well i want to hire you back, but i need his approval before doing so". and the guy who fired me has 0 compassion. hoping he will cool off and maybe he was just "teaching me a lesson" and flexing his power to make a point.
as for finding another club, all the other ones around here are nasty, dirty, scummy little holes besides one big huge high end club that is VERY strict with their hiring standards. otherwise i'd have to go out of state this one is perfect for me..25 minutes away, good earnings potential, and im very comfortable there and have regulars

I would just say that you made a mistake and you're really sorry but you've worked there for years and have always been on time, made good money, etc and that you learned from this experience and won't do it again, and you feel like being suspended or just getting a warning/write up is sufficient for you not to do it again. I wouldn't insult the manager who fired you and put the blame on him because yeah, they stick together. When I started complaining about the other manager to my GM I could tell it was not getting me on his good side. If the owner says that he needs the approval of the other manager, say that you guys left things on really bad terms but that you would be happy to speak with him now that things have cooled off a little bit and see what the owner says.

Granted, that's if you REALLY want to stay... I mean, you will have to work with this guy again, so incidents like this will repeat, and know that if he is a hothead and he interprets you going to the owner as going over his head, he may be even nastier to work with. Is there a way you can avoid working his shifts? I will no longer be working with the manager who suspended me for this very reason and so I found another club this week that I don't *love* but that will work as my 2nd club (I'm gonna work there when I need to work a shifts the manager who suspended me is working). Maybe you could do something like that?

^ I tend to agree- perhaps the sister club would be the better choice. Management attitude creates club culture which influences the dancers (and therefore the club atmosphere) and that affects the customers (and dictates the type of people who come into the club) IMO.

Keep us posted- and maybe the High End club is an option? who knows you might be missing out on buckets? x

Agreed with above. Have you tried for the high end club? Your best regulars are likely to follow you if you don't go too far.

I won't attempt to assert that this was the actual reason, but it is an increasing concern ...

Most clubs are experiencing higher 'costs of doing business' - property taxes are up, utility bills are up, benefit costs for 'employee' bartenders / bouncers etc. are going up. Most clubs add to club 'revenues' by collecting a sizeable percentage of customer money spent on private dancers, VIP' etc. Most clubs also realize that ( for better or worse ) girls who are willing to offer 'extras' to customers are able to sell a higher number of private dancses, VIP's etc. Thus in situations where clubs do now allow an unlimited number of dancers to come and go as they please, scheduling a 'clean' dancer versus an 'extras girl' effectively COSTS the club money in the form of reduced percentage based club 'revenues'.

With club profit margins growing tighter, and with club management facing essentially zero legal risk if an 'extras girl' dancer is busted ( gee, officer, I had no idea what was going on in the VIP room ), some clubs are now starting to look for reasons / excuses to replace existing 'clean' dancers with 'extras girls'.

I'm so sorry Simone :/ What an ass!!! You deserve a much better club to work at, screw that place. Ugh can't believe he'd make an issue out of water vapor!!! He sounds like these 2 asshole managers I use to work for a few years ago & they were fired bc the owner found out what jerks they were to the girls & how they were a couple of pros at riiping off the custs & putting into their own wallets instead of the club benefiting from it.

yeah im going to try the sister club first, im pretty sure they will let me work there but not the one that the asshole manager runs..unless he somehow changes his mind.
as for me not doing extras, im pretty sure its not that considering he ALSO threatened to fire me for not dancing with " both feet on the ground" and " no contact" ..and that's something NONE of the other girls do, so basically he just hates me i think
