    Default Question about scars

Hi, I'm 19 and I'm considering becoming a stripper to help deal with some nasty student debt I've managed to accumulate. However, I have about 20 very noticeable self harm scars running from on the side of my calf from my knee to my ankle. My question is, can I still get hired? I was thinking I could just always incorporate stockings/knee high socks into whatever outfit I'm wearing. Is that acceptable? Can strippers get completely naked minus their socks? Are their strippers with scars? I also have a small scar on my lower right torso from appendix surgery. Other than these flaws I've been told I'm attractive and I am in shape.

you're lucky those scars are in a very easily concealed location. many girls wear socks or stockings every day.

I hope your self harm days are over because you will have to be strong emotionally to dance. good luck.

Hi Brittwhat, and welcome to Stripperweb.

You can definitely keep your legs covered all the time, either with stockings, legwarmers, thigh/knee high socks, whatever you like. Also, depending on your skin tone, how old and thin your scars are, you might find that they club light makes them not that visible.

I have self harm scars on the back side of my wrist and forearm. They aren't that noticeable in the club lighting, so I usually don't cover them, though I have sometimes caught customers looking. No one has said anything, yet, though if they did, I would just tell them the truth ("I made them myself when I was younger"- no drama, no story about my depression, if they want to continue that awkward conversation, I might say "Let's not talk about that- I want to hear about you/this sexy thing" or "Let's talk about how much fun we're having now instead!").

    Hope that helps!

i have a huge scar on my leg ( not from self harm but its still huge), and i either put a self tanner /concealer on it or i wear stockings and leg warmers. im also a fan of those furry fluffy raver leg warmers like these :http://www.vinyldolls.net/uv-glitter...tm_content=pla i wouldn't recommend white but i love them with a pair of fishnets, i get a lot of compliments and stage tips cause I'm the only girl who wears them.

I have a quite a few old stretch mark scars and other scars from my figure skating days that no one has ever noticed in my three years of dancing. I had a friend who danced who had similar scars and it never affected her to my knowledge, so you should be fine but if you are self concious feel free to cover them up with knee high socks or stockings no one will say anything
