Default Dancing this time of year, is it worth it or am I better off in a call centre

Hi girls, havn't posted in a while. Basically I'm in desperate need of a cash injection. My life went off the rails a bit last year after I graduated. When I should have been sorting out a graduate career I was dealing with depression and addiction. I have got myself back on track but I don't have regular work and it will be some time before I get myself a career job. In the mean time I desperately need money so I can move out of home/ save for down payment on my own place/ get some surgery which I've wanted for ages. Which brings me to the main questions: Will I be able to make a reasonable amount of cash dancing this time of year (in the UK) or would I be better off at a call centre or receptionist job?

It's really hard to say, depending on your area..also the time of year, weather, & a bunch of variables. Good luck to you, try looking in Club Chat to see if there's some good clubs for you

I would say a good steady job would be better or do both and dance just on the weekend, dancing here full time is too up and down.

This. I also find I do better at the club when I don't have to depend on it to pay my rent or eat; and when I only have once or twice a week, I really maximize my time on shift.

I would job hunt for something vanilla while dancing, and then decide if it's worth dancing on top of your vanilla job. It's not like you can just toss out a resume and get a job automatically nowadays anyway, but you can basically always find a club that will let you walk in and work.

Thanks girls. Sage advise as always. Even though I have a degree and work experience the battering I've taken has seriously lowered my confidence. Just gotta suck it up, get to the club and get those job applications out.
