I'm look to find one. The face wash I use to keep breakouts away dries out my skin so I want a moisturizer that is really healthy for the face. Any advice?

i LOVE "Burt's Bees Night Cream". been using it for years, doesn't have any benzos, or other carcinogens and its very rich. kind of pricey at almost 20 bucks a jar, but its the only thing that doesn't make me break out

Thanks, my skin is really sensitive and I often get breakouts before/during my period or when I'm really stressed out so I use a facial cleanser that's specifically made to treat acne and leaves my skin dry. So I'd want something that will help keep my face clear too. I'll check that out!

I use Jojoba oil at night (sometimes with drops of other oil if I feel like it), and Neutrogena daily moisturizer in SPF 50 (I am fair as fuck, you might not need this). I also have used and really like Juice Beauty Oil-free Moisturizer. But Jojoba oil is my favorite so far.

Best is subjective. It depends on what exactly your looking for. I have extremely dry skin and I could not got into work without putting on skin shagrala by lush. Lush has some really good products. They are all natural, handmade and not cheap. I pay around 55. for that alone and I use around 5 other products on my face as well. Most of those are different anti aging products from revive, DDF, Murad, Pericone( I'm on the fence with his products) just paid 100 for a small kit with 3 small sizes of his best sellers. I'm a product junkie! Lol.
Proactive Green Tea Moisturizer.

I love Lierac Initiatic, it has 2 versions - cream and fluid.

i use a product called nerium AD at night and it has done wonders for my acne prone/sensitive skin. i also use caudalie vinosource (hypoallergenic) during the day. my face wash is just regular old purpose (soap free). you can find it at any drug store for less than $8.

Imho, the handmade custom orders through Etsy.com kick ass. Specifically this lady, as she is a chemist and has no issues with going over ingredients with you:https://www.etsy.com/shop/lovemyskinsoaps
Unfortunately, she's on vacation right now. But there are a lot of other stores that do the same thing!
I use Lush Vanishing CreamI love it! ask for a sample next time you go to a Lush shop to try it out

My favorite I got at Sephora - it is good for all over = severe dry skin - eczema - psorosis - etc... but super gentle to use on your face daily - I have really sensitive skin with all types of issues - this really helps - I use it on my grandaughter too who has chicken skin ( forgot the medical term for the condition) - -First Aide Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
I have somewhat acne prone skin too and have had issues with dry skin (especially now during the winter) for years. I really try to go organic when possible, but the Burt's Bees stuff just didn't work for me. Tried a lot of products, some worked but made me breakout, and other didn't make me breakout, but just didn't work very well.
Only thing I have found that doesn't make me breakout AND give drastic improvement is H20 Face Oasis gel: http://www.amazon.com/Oasis-Hydratin...words=h20+face
Infused with sea minerals and vitamins, and is very light. It'd expensive, but you only need a very tiny amount, one jar usually lasts 3+ months. Hope this helps!
EDIT: I have also found exfoliating twice a week with one of these helps a lot: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

a really thick night cream is more convenient than a thick moisturizer because of makeup issues. if I'm still dry during the day I use philosophy hope jn a jar because its so light and disappears so easily and I get my major moisture from a variety of night creams and occasionally oils.
I use coconut oil as a face moisturizer (it makes a good makeup remover, too). I put a pretty heavy layer on, wait at least 10 mins, then wipe whatever hasn't absorbed with a tissue. If I need more moisture (sometimes around my mouth and under my eyes), I usually just use Cetaphil moisturizing cream. They're cheap, easy to find, and designed for dry, sensitive skin. Might be too heavy for most folks, though.

Cetaphil and jojoba oil have been mentioned (those are great choices), but so is CeraVe. Also you may not want to use a wash that drys out your skin too much, as that can cause acne as well, you need a balance.

Clinique youth surge code moisturizer!

the problem with moisturizing with oils, is that they don't have humectants in them i don't believe. moisturizing works by keeping your skin from losing moisture and locking it in, its not just adding lubricants to the surface because there's only so little your skin actually absorbs. olive oil and coconut oil are one of the top oils that are comedogenic as well, if you are prone to break outs i wouldn't suggest them, i WISH i could get away with coconut oil because its awesome but i get huge hard cysts when i use it.
oh and i agree about cerave, great stuff! i use their cleanser every day and its worked out great for me

Omg I love lush. My best friend lives in Chicago and she got me one of their "bath bombs" as a little stocking stuffer xmas present and I loved it! So she told me about the store and I went there next time I visited her lol. She has a bunch of products from there since she lives close.

When you use jojoba oil you need to put it on before drying off and then air dry, don't towel dry your skin (otherwise you just rub it off); that is the way to achieve the proper absorption, forgot to mention that crucial part aspectYes, Cerave is wonderful; I have dry skin, luckily not break-out prone, but ugh super dry if I don't moisturize daily, so I just use the lotion on both my face and body. Sometimes in the winter I even need to use Vaseline around the edges of my nose - yuck!
For the OP - also you can use jojoba oil to remove make-up, especially eye make-up, because sometimes all that stripping with the make-up remover + acne wash + water can really dry out your skin as well, especially around the eyes.

Have you considered changing cleansers to something more mild? Ditching acne-specific face cleansers and swtiching to cereve or cetaphil was the best thing I've ever done for my skin! When my skin is really really dry I use First Aid Beauty ultra repair moisturizer or Keihl's Ultra Facial Cream.
I layer these - they're fairly cheap, have good ingredients, and work well. The Garnier goes on first, then the Eucerin.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
During the day, I usually put Aveeno over the Garnier because it has sunscreen.
http://www.amazon.com/Aveeno-Positiv...1827812&sr=8-3
I don't have wrinkles, but the Eucerin is gentle and doesn't break me out. The Garnier is light and hydrating - a nice base to put under your favorite facial lotion.
I always tell people to treat their skin like it's a baby. When the baby is upset and crying (acne), it's best to avoid punishing it (with strong products) - they tend to further aggravate the issue. Treat your skin very gently when it's upset! Get back to basics with your skin routine. And don't start jumping products - it'll only put your skin into a constant state of adjustment. I only wash my face with a cleanser once a day (in the shower) - I simply rinse with cold water in the morning, since the skin isn't really 'dirty' in the morning. And I would also look at your diet for culprits. Dairy (especially cheese) and refined sugars break me out predictably. Make sure you aren't touching your face absentmindedly during the day. I spot treat with lavender essential oil, which also calms the nervous system (lavender is strong, so only use it a couple of times a day on the same spot). Drink plenty of water - in the winter, I drink lots of red and green rooibos, which is caffeine-free and rich in antioxidants: http://www.amazon.com/Tega-Organic-R...ywords=rooibos
I could go on and on about skin.. Luck to you in your search!![]()
