    Skull This is how Streamate treats their Paying Customers.

    Well, as a person that has a customer account on Streamate, I just endured this tonight when I attempted to go into regular free chat... None of the rooms would work for me, they just didn't load and gave me an error message and told me to contact support. So, thinking that if I was having this issue, others were having it as well, I contacted support... This is what happened... And I am second-guessing working Streamate ever again after seeing how they treat their PAYING customers! (Sorry if some of these overlap!)

    They also deleted my entire customer account.


    Now... Before anyone says that I shouldn't have had a customer account -- I have spent money on that account, I paid to watch several shows, etc. I was a paying customer and I enjoyed being a paying customer (All Gold Shows, but still). I was legitimately having an issue or else I would not have contacted customer service -- free chat for any model would not load for me, so I contacted them, as that's what the error told me to do. This is how I was treated. Just think... Whether or not I was a big spender or not, this is how they treated me... If this is how they are treating their customers, no wonder models on Streamate aren't making money. Maybe I'm overreacting, maybe I was too abrasive, but either way, I do feel this customer service is unacceptable and it says a lot for where our money is going -- obviously not to the customer service reps, hence being told that I was "No longer wanted as a customer" ... What fucking company says that shit? Sorry, I'm a little pissed, maybe I'm in the wrong. Please, other Streamate girls, enlighten me. I'm sorry if my conversation was less than compliant, I was pretty fucking pissed. Excuse my lack of etiquette...

    I had to cut out a couple images to let it post, but still... That kind of customer service is just unacceptable to me. They also terminated my entire account, so it is nonexistant anymore.

    I can imagine that this situation was very frustrating, but I don't see how you or Streamate handled the situation very well. You were cussing at them when trying to get help. Most companies are allowed to disconnect or hang up when the customer is being abusive and honestly, that's how I read it. It's annoying as hell when they tell you to do all of the generic stuff that everyone knows how to do, but I don't see how it was necessary to handle it that way. The second person that responded sounded rude and very unprofessional, I am sure if I were in your shoes that is where I would have finally lost my shit and cussed, but not right off the bat.

    I did cuss, but can you imagine the male-female-customer counterpart to my expressions? And like I said, I did have to delete a couple images of the conversation because it would not let me put all of those images in the message, but I am not innocent... However... If I was a random customer and was upset, would this apply to me? The lack of attempts to fix the issue to begin with (while I may have been upset and overbearing) do not even begin to justify the second representative's attitude. Maybe I'm just expecting too much. Either way, my issue was a legitimate tech issue and god-forbid a customer had the same issue and was upset over it and was treated this way.

    I realize how frustrating it is to be dealing with a site that's nonfunctional, but these reps aren't responsible for SM's problems. You can see from the chat window URL that these folks are contractors who almost certainly have zero influence on SM.

    To me, this isn't any different from spitting on a waiter because of the cook's mistakes. Really unpleasant to read.

    Yeah, sometimes the Reps have to go through certain criteria to solve problems. It seems like they were just trying to access the site to try to see what your problem was. You seemed to make the situation worse actually Just because you have a problem AND are a paying customer doesnt mean you get to talk to people however you please in a state of inconvenience. IMO Cuss out the assholes running the site, not the poor reps

    I agree, I think your tone came off rude and disrespectful. I worked customer service for 8 years, face to face and over the phone. The reps are there to help but just imagine how many people they have to help each day. All of which are having problems and are frustrated. The last thing they are going to want to deal with is someone cussing them out. And yes as a customer service manager, I have escorted many customers out the door and refused to assist them if the situation got too hostile. Usually the company makes protocols that they have to go through. So the mundane generic questions are mandatory for them to ask. And the company I'm sure saves all the chat records for 'quality assurance'! So now they are getting cussed out for doing something they HAVE to do. It sucks for both partys but it's the way it is.

    But the last rep you chatted with crossed the line. #1 rule in customer service is NEVER get hostile back. I've had things thrown in my face before and just had to smile sweetly as I walked them out the door. Customers can get as upset as they want, but the rep has to best 'represent' the company at all times! Inexcusable!

    I can't see how the second rep was rude/hostile at all, he basically was saying she wasn't welcome ontheir site anymore and to find somewhere else. That's pretty much what anyone would be told to say to a banned ex-customer.

    Anyway, swearing at the person who is trying to assist will get you nowhere. And imagining "the male-female-customer counterpart" has no bearing here - you got angry and swore a lot at the rep and they cut you off. I note from the beginning of the convo with Michael that you had already been cut off from a previous chat - was that for the same reason?

    I feel that you cursing the person out at the beginning of the conversation was uncalled for. It seems like you're more upset about the rep.'s tone than by the fact that you're banned for asking for a refund. You didn't make a SM purchase and then ask for a refund...right???

    THAT (the ban) is the reason they're telling you they don't want you on the site anymore. Hell, I wish ImLive would tell that to the guys on their site who do chargebacks and then keep coming back with new screen names.

    Is it possible that someone else accessed your SM member account, bought a show, and requested a refund? If that's really what happened, wow...I'm really sorry to hear that.

    wow..oh well, lesson learned I hope... I've been on both ends before, having worked a straight up customer service line. It's not easy, especially when you aren't the actual tech support. We all know that a) SM won't admit to custies that the site is experiencing problems and b) that sometimes it is the customer end with the problem. I often hear customers say "you are lagging, cutting out, etc.." I'll reply with "maybe on your end, but it looks good here when I watch my feed on my high speed digital internet connection". I do know what you mean though as I have been to some rooms when certain models feeds won't load; however I have never experienced every cam of those online doing that. Some work, some don't.

    Vela, you were dead wrong bb, dead wrong and if I were CS I would've cancelled your account as well without a second thought.

    From what I read, they were trying to help you but you came at them with guns-a-blazing. Was all the cursing necessary? I think if you would've came at them a little more respectfully then they would've helped you out a bit more. I've had help with them on the customer's end and they were polite to me.

    Also, you may or may not be speaking to the same customer service rep who just happens to change names and they were probably frustrated with your rudeness and decided they didn't want to deal with you anymore. As well, I'm pretty sure they figured out you were a model when you mentioned "Where is the 65% of my money going to?!" Really? Why blow your own cover? Also, SM isn't getting 65% as they have other people and bills to pay. Most of the time because of their white labels, they are getting 45% and even less when model's use their cammodels link. SM getting 45% (which isn't all that much) considering they have a company to run and employees to pay isn't a whole lot.

    Anyway, it sounds like you just have a lot of pent up anger with SM and you should resolve that or find a new site to work on. That, or market yourself so you can personally make 75% of what you bring into the site and not wreck havoc on SM CS. This should've been titled "How I Treat SM Customer Service" instead. You were not a "true", paying customer, you were being a butt hurt model.

    Both parties were wrong. You didn't need to treat them like that and they shouldn't close down an account because of your actions. With all these tech issues they would have to close down a lot of accounts of rude customers. Customers get pissed off and go off. Hell I've had them bitch at me about tech issues and I'm not tech support either. Streamate is known for rude customer support. The adult review sites have a lot of complaints from customers about CS and how they treat them.

    So it takes a customer to be hostile towards them to ban them but it takes hoops to get one banned if they are being hostile towards you?
    Right on.

    Anywho.
    I know lots of us on SM has pent up anger towards their support. Remember IT 101 cover all the basic bullshit first. Also if their site is working fine through your account on a different computer and connection, it is usually good. I use to support webmail. Most of the time I would have the customer clear the cache and try again. If there is something on your end, there is nothing they can do.

    Also I know your issue. I cleared my cache and it was working fine after.

    The phone reps for SM can be pretty horrendous. I got hung up on actually and I never lost my shit just persistent on getting an issue resolved. The second phone rep was a bit better. He fixed the issue but not before he too gave me attitude. Oh well. I wonder if they speak females this way because they assume we are all models on the site?

    But yes those chat messages seemed like you may have brought the hostility first. So was it an IP ban or can you get a new account?

    If they pull up your customer account, and see your real name, it's easy for them to put two and two together. We know they don't like us models having customer accounts, while they ignore it, if we keep quiet and play nice So this might the reason you were probably banned, as they did not specify for obvious reasons. Also returned all your money, so you can't even sue them.

    Not sure if I add anything useful to anyone, but I cannot access ANY free chats on ANY site. I'm adding this, because the original problem was the free chat not loading for Vela. So before anyone panics, it's probably not a SM problem now, first I also thought it was, but since this is the case on 4 different websites for me already, I'm sure something is wrong with ME and not the SM (+all the other sites). We might have the same problem, but I'm too tired to look for solutions today.

    Actually while reading your conversations.... i can't help but feel a little annoyed at you and feel sorry for the moderator who talked to you.
    You sound rude. Yes, you are a paying customer but that doesn't mean you can talk rude or treat them like that.
    Even a cam model will get annoyed if you talked to them like that.

    And if the problem is from the site then all of the customers or most of them will have the same problem as you....
