Default Rochester / Buffalo NY clubs?

    Greetings to all

My friend and I live right in between Rochester and Buffalo (closer to Rochester) and are currently working at a high-contact fully nude dive in a small town- which, while the staff is very nice, isn't a big earner. We're both Playboy Bunny types (I have even worked for Playboy), and the best we can hope for on a Friday/Saturday night is about 200-250 bucks where we are- all we get are college boys and hillbillies for the most part, plus the other dancers have been trying to start up drama with my friend out of jealousy... not worth it for a measly $200 on our busiest nights. I hate to sound conceited, but it seems like most of the other girls only work here because they can't get a job at any other club. We thought we'd bank working at a dive, and we DO compared to the everyone else, but I'd rather make average money at a more upscale club than out-earn everyone else if the bottom line is higher in the end.

So, we're looking for greener pastures.

Ideally, we want somewhere we can freelance/not work a set schedule, with good security, and minimal drama (staff or dancers). And most importantly... the ability to make at least twice that on an average weekend night. We've considered Syracuse, but it's a bit of a drive, so unless it's insanely better, we'd prefer to stick to Buffalo or Rochester. Any suggestions?

No good clubs, I take it? Thinking at this point I might as well just cam.

With border restrictions now in place ( meaning high mileage seeking US club customers can cross to Canadian clubs, but US dancers can't work in Canadian clubs ), Buffalo kind of sucks. Least of the evils are probably the 'airport' clubs in Cheektowaga ... although IMHO there are now too many clubs in that area for the 'market' to adequately support.

Rochester definitely sucks for two reasons. The city now requires dancers to obtain licenses. And many of Rochester's 'major' businesses, i.e. Kodak, Xerox, Bausch & Lomb, etc. have laid off tens of thousands of workers thus depressing the area's economy.

Syracuse sucks almost as bad as Rochester and Buffalo. IMHO it's probably not worth driving an extra 200+ mile round trip and paying for that extra gas and tolls, in hopes that maybe you'll be able to earn an extra $100 a night. Syracuse is also seasonal ( lots of college student dancers ) and this isn't the best time of year to make money.

PS if your small town 'dive' club is the one I think I is ( Byron, NY ), the reason you're not earning more is that fellow dancers are probably providing much more 'bang' for their customers' bucks than you are !

For better or worse, upstate NY seems to be living through one 'continuous' recession. If you're seriously trying to 'cash in' as top shelf dancers, you really need to start thinking about relocating.

    Camming it is, then :-/

And yeah, it's exactly the one you're thinking of... the guys there are horrible, I think the regular girls have trained them to expect extras because a good 80% of the time, they're asking for extras and/or will just whip their D out without even asking. It's so gross. Not to mention the abnormally large amount of guys there that just try to finger you without any warning whatsoever. I have NEVER been in a place this bad.

^^^ unfortunately, that's what seems to always happen when economic conditions take a turn for the worse, and some number of dancers with rent / student loans / utility bills to pay are willing to do 'whatever is necessary' to earn the necessary money.

As an original buffalonian I'd say Mel nailed it. Never expect to make more then 200-300 consistently. I stopped into the airport clubs over the summer and its BAD. If you want to make a career doing this starting thinking about Dallas, Vegas, Miami, Denver etc
