Default seaweed for weight loss

http://www.3fatchicks.com/seaweed-we...-work-for-you/

There is a connection between seaweed and weight loss,as this is one of the most complete foods available in nature. Besides being rich in fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins and minerals, seaweed is easy to digest and can help you control your hunger pangs.
About Seaweed

Seaweeds are water algae that grow in 3 varieties. Green seaweeds are found in fresh water, while brown and red are found in salt water. All of them are rich in vitamins such as vitamin A, B1, B2 and C. Nori and Dulse are red seaweeds and Kelp and Wakame are brown seaweeds. All seaweeds have high amounts of essential fatty acids, magnesium, calcium, iron, iodine and antioxidants. They are antibacterial and antifungal in nature.
The chemical compositions of human blood and seaweed are similar, and that is one reason why researchers think seaweeds purifies the blood and detoxifies it. Since seaweeds are basic in nature, they counteract the negative effects of acidic food that’s consumed by most people.
Benefits of Adding Seaweed to Your Diet

Seaweed fiber is a must for everyone’s diet, as this fiber helps you lose weight especially around the abdomen. Seaweed fiber also boosts the immune system makes the skin wrinkle free and clear, strengthens the bones, prevents cancer and heart disease, makes hair glossy and healthy, and improves brain function.
How Seaweed Works

Seaweed helps you lose weight by inhibiting the action of an enzyme that controls the digestion of fat. Seaweed fiber also blocks the absorption of fat by the body as it contains a substance called alginate. Research has shown that among a variety of foods tested, seaweed fiber was the most effective in helping people lose weight. Seaweed also curbs your appetite and makes you feel full thereby decreasing your intake of food. It controls levels of blood sugar and this in turn decreases your food cravings. This also can also assist you in weight loss. Since it keeps the skin taut, even after you lose weight, your skin won’t hang loose but will stay firm around your new shape.
The Importance of Fucoxanthin

Fucoxanthin is obtained from seaweed such as kelp and causes fat burn within the fat cells of the body. The fat that’s most rapidly burned is that which is present around the abdomen area known as white adipose tissue. Fucoxanthin stimulates a protein that causes the oxidation of fat. It also stimulates the liver to produce an Omega-3 fatty acid known as DHA that helps to reduce the amount of bad cholesterol (LDL) that’s present in the body. Fucoxanthin supplements can thus help you lose weight without any adverse side-effects.
It’s important to incorporate seaweed fiber in your diet as it contains a large amount of vital nutrients. You can either eat it whole or take pills or supplements. Since there are other products containing seaweed that can be sprinkled onto food. You can incorporate seaweed into your diet in this manner as well.

Yup! I love it too, & I don't need to lose wt. I know there's a grocery that sells it, with sushi, (it's in a separate container). Expensive too, like 4.00 for a couple ounces or so.
