Lightbulb Having a pet sitting at home business while being a camgirl.

I am considering, since it is slow, for me anyway, to get a few new streams of income- so I signed up with rover.com to take in pets and get paid.
My plan is to take the dog(s) for long walks or runs and cam in my cam room while they nap. So Ill be doing mini power hour cam sessions and then caring for the pets.
I just wanted to share this as I know this time of year is a struggle financially for many besides myself. I will keep you posted on what the experience is like..
I think its going to be fun. and if any one else here does that, say hi and let us know what is like and anything you feel is helpful. cheers!

I hope it all works out, pink_bunny. Just be sure to be careful about pets being shown on cam. A model who used to post on here got suspended from Streamate once just because her dog was next to her on cam.

PB, I always have these crazy scenarios when anything is mixed in while doing camming. My only worry would be barking dogs while on cam. This reminds me of when I was in a middle of a long PVT on AW and my SW chat was up and I forgot to turn the sound down. That "whoosh" sounds apparently sounded like barking to my custy and he said "Is that your dog barking?" I said "No sweetie, sorry, it's a chat I have up, I'll mute it." I guess he was so turned off that he left. :/ The same has happened to me before when I was staying with a friend for the summer and she actually had a dog that wouldn't stop barking. I was doing phone sex only back then and customers were in the middle of busting a nut and then "WHOOF!" nut, unbusted.

Also, what if a customer decided to show up in the middle of your session, or a dog got out and you had to chase them down the street with your whore make up on and tits popping out of your tank? Oh the horror! I'm sure none of this would happen to you but my mind just goes wild like that lol. Just a few things to think about I suppose. I guess I consider pet sitting while camming like babysitting while camming. It's probably best to keep an eye out on the pet. Too many different pet with diff schedules and routines will make this not likely to work. That and the constant barking. Nap time? I don't think sooooo.

Good luck! I'd be concerned about the noise - some dogs simply *will not* stop barking/whining throughout the day, especially if they've got separation anxiety or aren't used to being around other dogs. Doggy daycares are not quiet places. Maybe you can set them up pretty far from your camming area and just take frequent breaks to check on them?

EDIT: The more I think about it, the more uncomfortable I get with the idea of having the animals too far away to be heard. What if there's a fight between dogs? What if one of them gets its paw trapped somewhere and injures itself? I don't know if there's a solution that'll get you the privacy you need *and* ensure the dogs are as safe as possible.

I've just gotten a puppy. With pet sitting, although they may be older, you'll always have a "new pet", who may have different routines and habits/toilet habits. I wouldn't advise! For the first month I was literally only managing 10-15 hours a week on cam between playing, settling, sleeping, camming and stopping before she'd wake up and the barking would start! Love her to bits, but dogs are hard work! Now I'm up to 15-20 a week so we're getting there. My day and my camming are scheduled with military precision!

Heh, I'm *so* glad I adopted an older dog. She's ~7 now, but she still gets all riled up whenever the mail gets dropped off or someone comes anywhere near the door. I've got a friend-turned-roommate who works from home, which really helps - he immediately tries to quiet her down. Still, I've had some pretty awkward privates with barking in the background.

All part of having a puppy, and she's learning really fast.

If I didn't cam, we wouldn't have been as to get her. As it is, I can be part time just now and still pay my bills. :-)

I gotta agree with all the other ladies advising against it. I have two dogs who occasionally bark from the opposite end of the house and people comment about it on cam. :/ I can only imagine what would happen with dogs who aren't used to being in the house/are nervous/need to go out etc.

HOWEVER, this is an excellent cover job...might have to use that at some point!

Thank you for all the feedback. For the most part, I dont use sound becuase my partner is home and does IT customer service. I am going to be relying heavily on scheduling potty breaks, feeding times, and play time. Sabihah- its a good idea that you mentioned having them within earshot, to make sure there is no fighting happening. I am probably going to start with small dogs first. Its good that I have a smaller sized duplex so its not like I would be sequestered into a far off area of the home. and yes, as far as a cover up business, this is a vanilla accepted one!

Since you don't use sound, I see no reason not to at least see it and try
